"Second stay at this ryokan after a perfect stay last year. Location is perfect - on the willow-lined river street close to onsens. Quiet, comfortable rooms. Public and private onsen on site, excellent dinner served at the restaurant. Air conditioning wasn’t cooling the room completely, but staff were accommodating with extra fans. "Rooms are a bit dated but super clean and well maintained. Staff was awesome, and the breakfast was one of the best I've had at any hotel in Japan. Location is fairly remote, but extremely peaceful, and there are free shuttle busses into Toyooka. Onsen was pretty good and clean. If you are looking for a relaxed time away from the typical tourist bustle, I can highly recommend this hotel. Most guests were elderly and extremely friendly, and it was completely silent at night."
