The Niles Hotel is a boutique hotel located in the Sultanhamit district within a ten minute walk to the Grand Bizarre. The rooftop terrace provides a great view of Bosporus. This was my first visit to Istanbul and the Niles was a good choice.

Staff were friendly. Atleast they spoke some English. The breakfast was good enough, not lots of option. The surrounding environment wasn’t what I expected. The hotel is located in a market/shopping environment. If you plan on shopping while in Istanbul I recommend this place a 💯. But if you are just there to tour and need a not so expensive hotel, then yeah, you can stay here. The Metro is across so you can pretty much get to all your location with ease. Overall, it wasn’t so bad. The rooms are small as expected. Room service daily. Don’t book it with the pictures you see display, it’s nothing like it.

There are definitely more modern and glamorous hotels in Istanbul however Nile's hotel is probably the only one that has retained it's unique Turkish cultural heart. You can tell all of the staff care deeply for the hotel and their guests, which is shown in their friendly and helpfulness. We would definitely recommend this hotel. The rooftop terrace is a true gem hidden within the bustle of the city
