The best time to go to Irurita is during the spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) months, when the weather is pleasant and the Basque countryside is at its most picturesque.

Spring offers mild temperatures, superb for exploring the charming village and its surroundings without the heat of summer. The fields are lush and green, and local flora is in bloom, making for beautiful walks and photography. It's a great time for those who enjoy outdoor activities like hiking or cycling through the Baztan Valley.

Autumn brings a different kind of beauty, with the changing colours of the leaves creating a stunning landscape. The weather remains comfortable for outdoor pursuits, and it's also a time for local harvest festivals, offering a glimpse into traditional Navarrese culture. This period is particularly appealing to couples looking for a romantic escape amidst scenic beauty and a relaxed pace.

While summer (July and August) is also popular, it can be warmer and busier with local holidaymakers.
