Poor maintenance

room carpet is dirty, no shoe provided. glass top table have oily cloudy appearance. wet-dried and clump toilet roll installed, toilet roll cheap quality. pillow have fragrance (big no for me), distract my sleep. good thing is have a lot of plug point, and breakfast is at highest floor with good view (though the food is terrible, just like most hotel in Malaysia).

We were at L16 but the loud music from the lower floor was disrupting our slerp at midnight! We had a long day of travels, the loud trumping music was extremely annoying. There was no shower head in addition to the rain shower. There was no floor matt outside the shower stall, we had puddles. Orherwise, our room Deluxe King was spacious. Staff at breakfast at L20 was very good, great selection and great view.

Overall stay is pleasant.

Hotel breakfast is very good. The view on the top floor restaurant is excellent! Hotel staff is friendly. The only downside is room is way too dark, it is almost unable to work after evening. Hotel needs to consider business traveller needs, room shall be equipped with lamp on desk or improve lighting in any way.

The room no. 1010 carpet had dot and mark. The toilet mirror holder is dusty. The room is very dark. It is unbeliavable this less than 5 years hotel condition is worst than 26 years old Syuen hotel. The car park is very dark. The only good things is the buffet breakfast and unlimited welcome drinks. I am paying RM160 for a superior room without window but the size of the room is 1/3 of Syeun hotel romm with window that only cost me RM190. Furthermore the room rate for walk in customer is cheaper than dome other guest whose book the room 2 to 3 days prior Chinese New year eve around RM35. Funny right?

Not a great experience upon arrival. Arrived at 3pm, room wasn't ready. Waited 45 minutes, given refreshments while waiting. Hotel decided to extend a different room on higher floor. Staff remained friendly throughout, thanks and good job Prema. Good was good however, tasty and good spread during breakfast. Hospitality was great overall.

The initial room we booked had cigarette smoke smell so we asked for a change. Duty manager, Havinash, not only helped us changed our room within a few minutes but upgraded us to a bigger family room. And on the last day we were late in checking out due to some unforeseen delays. We were supposed to be charged for half a day stay but the front desk staff did not charge us at all! Will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Ipoh, cause the location is excellent too, with lots of food, drink holes and shopping within walking distance or a short drive.

Staff friendly especially Prema was very helpful. She gave suggestions and tips on where to go to see the sights. Good to have the local’s recommendations. Our stay would have been better if the hotel had a weighing machine available for us to weigh our luggage.
