Traditional hotel but great breakfast
The Neue Post is a traditional hotel in the centre of Innsbruck. Booked a single room which is just that, a single bed in a small-ish room. Everything functions well, though nothing is particularly outstanding or memorable. Was not given a wifi code but didn't need it anyway. There's no air-con. Breakfast is fantastic though!

Excellent location
Close to centre of Innsbruck. Not really a 4 star hotel more like a 3 star. Breakfast disappointing. Couldn’t fault cleanliness of hotel.

Poorly maintained hotel
Front desk did not know of our Expedia booking until showed our confirmation for a superior room. Later a different clerk assigned us a dark, small room with damaged/dirty bath floor. Next day we were moved to a superior room, but the telephone and one of the few electrical outlets did not work and neither could not be repaired until after we checked out two days later. Some additional problems communicating with front desk. At checkout we were told that our credit card would be charged. Only after much argument did the clerk agreed that we had prepaid Expedia. We have stayed in much better 3 star hotels. In contrast, the breakfast was excellent and served in a beautiful room. Not surprising, many bulbs in the large chandeliers were burned out.

I loved everything about this hotel! The staff were friendly and super helpful with all my questions. My wife agrees and we decided we have to leave a good review on here because it was the reviews we read that helped make our decision to stay here in the first place. We will be back! This will be the first place we'll book!

Good location but 2.5 star room
The Hotel Neue Post is a very well located hotel. It was extremely easy to find (10 mins away from the Main train station). Check-in is at 3, but they were happy to hold luggage earlier. Breakfast was nice. The room was small but usable. The finishes should be replaced/updated though. The carpet was very old, and the furnishings were very outdated. It was NOT 4 star standards, but the location made up for what the hotel lacked. Innsbruck is very expensive so this hotel was doable pricewise. But the shower was terrible (went hot to cold quickly) the hallway was noisy, and the room needed lots of cosmetic help. I would recommend for location alone.

Friendly hotel good location
We have used this hotel for years, the staff are always friendly and helpful. Location is great for getting into the main shopping area and is walking distance from the main station.

When we travel, we try not to set our expectations too high. But we do look forward to air conditioning and reasonably good internet. Our room had an air conditioning control, but I couldn't get it to work. When I called the front desk I found out the whole hotel no longer has AC. Our room faced the afternoon sun and was stifling hot. They also have internet codes good for either one day or seven days. We stayed for three days and had to get a new code every day. It was also very clunky to use compared to most of the other hotels we stayed at on this trip. (I should say that after complaining, I got a seven day code - but only on our last day.)

Nie Hotel in City Center
My brother and I made this hotel a last minute booking. It was a fair price and checked off the most important box on my list, which was a central location. It was walking distance to everything in the city center. The lady at the front desk was also very friendly, spoke English well, and was also helpful suggesting things to do.

Clean and tidy, good breakfast selection. Located 15 minutes from the station and on most bus routes. Not all rooms are air conditioned, thankfully ours was, as Austria are having a heatwave. Safe and fridge in room.

Innsbruck stay.
We had a two day stay. The hotel is an easy walk to the old city and has plenty of nearby parking. The rooms are not air conditioned so on warm days, street noise may be an issue as Maximillian street is trafficked in the early morning an late evening. Breakfast was a typical continental breakfast with good variety. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Beds are firm, for some this is comfortable for others it is hard.

Nice hotel just out of the old city center
The location and the room itself were great. There is not A/C in most of the rooms (if you think you'll need it, call ahead to request one with A/C) and fans are not provided in the room. The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating, but the staff in the breakfast room were the least friendly that we encountered in our 3 weeks in German, Austrian, and Italian hotel stays. The breakfast itself was sufficient but not amazing.

Service was very good, included breakfast was satisfactory. Only drawback was the room did not have air conditioning and the ambient temperatures even at night were in the high 20's deg.C Convenient location, easy walking distance to the centre of the town

I cannot understand how this hotel got a 4 star rating, it has no air conditioning and is very poorly organised. The first room we had stank of stale cigarette smoke and had not been ventilated for days. The young girl at reception was all alone and overwhelmed from her duties.I was given a faulty door key 4 times and had to go to reception 4 times because there was no one available. She told me that she is the owners' daughter. This is not a 4 star hotel standard. Without any ventilation, I had to sleep in a room with over 30 degrees temperature and with noise levels like sleeping in the middle of the motorway. In comparison, Ibis 3 star hotel had all the comforts including air conditioning. Don't offer this hotel as a 4 star, it is a 2 star!

Convenient walking distance to old town and other attractions. Hotel staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast choices sufficient for short stay. Innsbruck card essential to maximise sightseeing options. Nordkettenbahnen cable car trip to mountain top a priority for any visitor with glorious views of surrounding mountains and valleys below.

Poor attitude from check-in staff.
I booked this hotel as it had aircon. The aircon did not work, the room was very hot & stuffy, and the desk girl said that it has to be on for a couple of hours to cool down the room. I had already left it on for 2 hours while I went out for dinner, and she still refused to admit that it did not work. I argued with her for 5 minutes, she just kept on contradicting me and saying that it was the Euro standard for aircon! What utter rubbish! I asked to see the manager, and was told he was away for 3 weeks. I then said who was in charge, and was told it was another woman who had gone home for the day. I wanted to speak to her, but she said that she did not have her number! So, what happens if the hotel catches fire, who is in charge then? No-one was the answer. I could not believe that this hotel is part of the Best Western group! That night I got a very bad sleep as I had to leave the window open, and the hotel is on a noisy street. The next day I was tired out and shattered with all the stress of arguing with that ignorant woman, and checked out without even bothering with breakfast. Spoiled my visit to Innsbruck. Definitely a hotel to avoid.

Hotel Neue Post - comfortable and welcoming
A 'Worry free' stay, no issues, efficient check in and out, very clean and well-kept, good breakfast choice. Restaurant was good for dinner - nothing very special, but friendly and quick service, so great for a cold night when searching the streets for the perfect venue does not seem so appealing.

Not quite as advertised...
Rooms available are NOT as advertised on the website. We were asked to pay a significant fee for an upgrade to a room with a tub, and the whole room even then still wasn't much larger than my closet. Also, the beds were atrocious. I say beds because what was supposed to be a single full-size bed was actually two very SMALL beds pushed together with separate bedding sized to fit the individual beds. No way for two people to comfortably sleep together. The beds were also about as hard as the sidewalk outside. Terribly overpriced for the level of comfort. On the upside, the location is great and most of the staff I met speak good English (much better than my German). There are a lot of other hotels in the same area, however, and if I were to go back I would probably stay elsewhere.

Typical continential European city hotel
We stayed for a night after a ski trip, for which this place was fine. Comfortable and clean room, good location - and they let me park at the front because it was quiet. Any more than one night and we'd have been disappointed - the decor is very dark, there was a spare bed left in the corridor and the place lacked the atmosphere of those right in the old town.

A Comfortable Week
Stayed for a week and couldn't be happier. We were skiing and this motel had everything we needed to do this easily and hassle free. A ski storage room with heated boot rack, free Skibus stops at the front door, Ski rental around the corner, and an info pack for skiers at check in with a wealth of info. Good breakfast buffet too. The only problems we had, and its not the hotels fault but Austria's in general, was the smoking in the Cafe/Bar downstairs. This is a problem throughout Austria. And the restaurant was pretty $$$$ (but good) but that could be said for many places in Innsbruck.

Nice hotel and convenient location
This was a pleasant hotel located within about 15 minutes walk from the train station. The staff was courteous and helpful, and speak English well. There seems to be some direction for them to push the breakfast offered by the hotel for €15 (about $20) per person. They were insistent that we try it; however we opted instead for a bake shop down the street. Additionally, there is an "MPreis" grocery store within five minutes walk on Maximilianstr. which has a nice bakery, fresh fruits and yogurt, etc for about one quarter of the price. We brought that back and took advantage of their free coffee brought to the room. Made it a great deal. Would recommend the hotel come up with some better...or cheaper...arrangements for breakfast for its guests.

1:30以上前だったがチェックインしてもらえた。一階の来客用トイレは大理石貼りのち超高級だった。無料朝食も充実していたので朝食込みのホテルと考えれば宿泊費は高くない。
