"The room was very cute, with a cabin type vibe. The bathroom was small, but plenty of space to get ready in front of a mirror. We played the 9 hole golf course, which was fun and more challenging than expected- a hidden gem! The pool and hot tub were both warm and very clean, with a deck area for relaxing. The only caveat was the dining area is only open for breakfast and lunch during the summer months. Not a big deal though since there were so many restaurants around to choose from. We will stay here again."

"We enjoyed our stay immensely. The chalet was perfectly appointed with everything we needed to eat in 4 nights and out with owner recommended restaurants. We hiked with our 2 dogs on the Manistee River trail, in Arcadia nature reserve, Green Point Beach, Nordhouse wilderness area, and Mangoon Creek nature area. All were gorgeous and less than 40 min away. The best was coming back to the chalet, tired, dirty, and sun-kissed, to shower in a spa-like space. Thank you to our host for creating a perfect home-base for outdoor adventures in Northern Michigan."

"The staff was very kind and hospitable. The room was nice, cozy and very relaxing. The bar had drinks that we didn’t get a chance to have but assume were delicious. The beds were soft, and bouncy, very capable of generating good momentum. 😂 The bar had wonderful food, we tried the pizza and the burgers. Both delicious, but the burgers were next level artisanal burgers. Absolutely delicious. I can't wait to return to the Lost Pines Lodge. We had the best weekend. Thank you everyone for such a wonderful stay."

"Wonderful place to stay in Wellston! Plenty of room for parking. We could ride our ORVs right from the house. House was clean and beds are comfortable. Cute and had everything we needed. Nice sized yard for our dog to play outside and there is a charcoal grill that cooks nicely. The host is nice and very responsive. Really enjoyed our stay!"

"Book immediately. Outstanding value booking ahead of time.Best rental I've had - including hotels and resorts.The owners are very responsive and considerate, check-in and out were stressless.The unit: photos cannot do it justice. Really beautiful design, architecture, and photography are all going to pull together the modern concept. Sunrise and sunset are enjoyable indoors - or on the gorgeous deck.The living: Brand new, super fast/strong heat and AC. Intuitive electronics and wi-fi. Gorgeous bathroom. Fun to use vaccuum. Kitchen has an oven with steam bake, convection, and cooktop fanning...dinner was a trip highlight every night with delicious local fruits and veggies. Laundry has steam settings.World class, state-of-the art appliances...the microwave tray automatically opens with a button, and it's okay if you softly gasp.I did.Enchanting location: easily accessible, high privacy, relatively convenient local shopping.Michigan Spring/Summer - thoughtful on-property pest control helped make nature enjoyable even during buggy spells. I did see mushrooms on-site...it really is an oasis of luxury in the heart of the Manistee National Forest."

"This was a great spot for a quick weekend getaway. It was quaint, and cozy with good appliances & well-stocked accessories - kitchen tools, towels, blankets, patio furniture & cushions, 2 kayaks w/ paddles, gas-fire heatbox, and beautiful water access."

"Went with another couple and the space was perfect for our needs. We used the grill as well as the hot tub and also appreciated that there was already some toiletries in the main bath (items such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash). There was leftover wood from previous stays so we did use that (but don’t rely on it) and one of the neighbors has a posting that you can purchase firewood from them however, they also have many private property signs posted so I’m not sure how you would go about actually buying from them. We did ask for an early checkout and it’s clear that it is a bot that replies however, when we did the third follow up, the host did reply to that one.Some things I would personally like to have known: this is a pretty secluded area - there is a fifth wheel that would be quite close had those owners actually shown up. It would’ve felt more like a campground, but they didn’t show so we had no issues. Also, when there are more 1-2 people in the house, it is great to have as many hooks to hang things as possible (bathroom and bedrooms). The main bathroom was the only shower and there was only one hook to hang your used towel on - not nearly enough for 4 adults. Would also be nice to have a small table to set toiletries in the half bath and possibly a small dresser in both bedrooms. I know this is personal to me.- I always check the dishwasher filter which I cleaned for them on day 1 - would recommend this is put into the cleaning rotation for staff."
