Slatina
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (3 reviews)
"We had a great visit. The staff was really friendly and helpful, the coffee was good at breakfast (very important). The most important thing when we travel are the beds, and they were great so we slept well. The only thing that put it down a little was the AC in the room which was really noicy at times. As we only were there over a weekend for a competition, we didn't have time to check out the area, but it seemd friendly enough. I'm sure we will be back for next years competition."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Icoana?
The best area to stay in Icoana, Olt County, is typically in the village centre or the immediate surrounding countryside, offering a blend of local life and peaceful rural settings.

The village centre is a practical choice for most travellers. Here, you'll find the main administrative buildings, local shops for essentials, and often a church or a community hall. It's a small, walkable area, giving you a sense of everyday life in a Romanian village. Accommodation options might include guesthouses or privately rented homes.

For those seeking a quiet escape, the areas just outside the village centre, located within the rolling hills and farmland, are ideal. These spots offer tranquillity and scenic views of the Olt County landscape. You'll often find guesthouses here that provide a more secluded experience.

Couples looking for a relaxing break will appreciate the peacefulness of the countryside. Many guesthouses in these areas offer comfortable rooms and a chance to enjoy nature, perhaps with walks through the fields or along quiet country lanes.
When is the best time to go to Icoana?
The best time to visit Icoana, Olt County, Romania, is during late spring (May to June) or early autumn (September to October).

These periods offer the most pleasant weather for exploring the Olt County region. You'll find comfortable temperatures, typically ranging from 18°C to 25°C, with less rainfall compared to the summer months. This makes it ideal for enjoying outdoor activities and sightseeing without the intense heat or the chill of winter.

For those interested in agricultural tourism or experiencing local traditions, the harvest season in early autumn can be particularly rewarding. You might find local festivals or markets celebrating regional produce.
Can I cancel my hotel reservation on Expedia?
You can cancel your hotel reservation on Expedia, though it depends on the cancellation policy of your booking. Most bookings are refundable if canceled within 24-48 hours of the scheduled arrival. Be sure to check your booking confirmation for the exact cancellation policy. If free cancellation is available, you can cancel directly through your Expedia account by logging in, going to "My Trips", and selecting your reservation. To find flexible deals, filter your search by "Fully refundable property" for hotels in Icoana.
