The house is relatively new construction and is very comfortable with all of the modern conveniences including a spacious well-appointed kitchen. The style of the house and its location create the sense of cottage in the country, which was perfect for us. We especially enjoyed our time on the porch late in the afternoon and early in the morning. The beautiful view of the pond and the isolation from other folks emphasized the natural serenity of our stay while we enjoyed the company of deer, foxes, Roadrunner, and many other species of birds. The 3 bedrooms were perfect with Queen beds (additional pillows would have been nice) and the 3 baths were beautifully updated. Plenty of linens for each couple. The kitchen was great but needed a few more items (dish towels, regular dinner plates not just plastic ones. And some of the cooking tools need to be replaced. Otherwise, the kitchen had everything you need. We loved the rocking chairs on the front porch and sitting out at night looking at the stars. The only other thing that would’ve made it even better would have been having some blankets, we found a couple to share. The living room furniture was dated and not overly comfortable but fortunately they had additional chairs in the bedrooms that accommodated our group of six. The home was very nice and accommodating to the needs for 3 couples. The mattresses were on the harder side (we prefer softer) but this is just a preference and definitely not something that would make this house any less fantastic than what it was. I saw on another review of this property that there was not enough living room seating for 3 couples, which I would have to agree with. But again, not a deal breaker. Now if these items were upgraded, I could without a doubt say this property was exceptional. My husband and I also enjoyed seeing the deer on the property. Perfect location between Johnson City and Fredericksburg. Everything you need is available in the home. My only suggestion is that the living room furniture be updated.
