"I made a reservation the same day I planned to stay overnight because contractors were working at my home at 7:00 AM and I just stayed awake all night to be sure to be up to let them in. I planned to check in after midnight and asked the front desk during the day for a late check out to catch up on sleep. I was told yesterday afternoon that there weren’t any/many check ins this AM and to ask when I checked in but that it shouldn’t be a problem. On check in at 12:09 I was told I had to call after 7:00. So wake up to ask to sleep later….. I e mailed the front desk manager but she never responded to my e mailed as of now. I got up to call at 8:30 and was told by front desk that I could have one extra hour-until noon. That was helpful. The property needs a major refresh. Paint is old and marked. The room had an odor I couldn’t identify. There was no thermostat in the room but it was cool enough. I overslept by 15 minutes and checked out at 12:15. The front desk clerk said “No problem.” So I hope not to have been charged extra. I’ve requested late check outs all over the world in 70 years when checking in very late and never been told I had to call in the morning of check out. I did not have breakfast. The Chase isn’t much more and has world class dining and amenities. Other than breakfast, I did not see any dining. No bar, one vending machine with laundry…. Parking was not free and was around the block, hard to find…. I don’t believe the ratings are accurate having read poor rev"
