"They are renovating so this isn't really fair to judge now. I think they need a few more months. The room was clean, the staff friendly, the decrease in stars was due to there being mold/black areas above the shower near the shower head. I have found over the years using Expedia means they put you in less favorable rooms because you're discounted in room charge. (And the pool was closed.) Great setting on the Lake! "

"They are currently renovating which is mentioned on the website, however we were put on the floor by rooms that were being worked on. 8:00 am drill alarm followed by hammer and music. I feel they could have put us in a different or different floor. The hotel is rich with history so that's a cool factor. The breakfast was good."

"It was not a good experience at all. My four year old granddaughter had a chest of drawers and the tv that was sitting on the chest of drawers turned over on her within 30 minutes after we arrived. Because the chest of drawers was not anchored into the wall--it turned over when she had three of the six drawers opened while putting her clothes in the drawers. Luckily it was just minor bruising. My daughter was more upset than my granddaughter. The room was not clean at all and there were ALOT of ants in the bathroom. It looked like maybe homeless people were residing under the steps outside. It was not worth the 163.00 that I was charged! I do NOT recommend this place at all."

"The rooms were clean and all of the staff were very friendly (especially Raven at the front desk). The room layout seemed odd with a refrigerator that blocked the light switch and a kitchenette with no table or chairs to eat at. The air conditioner and refrigerator were noisy and the TV channel selection was minimal."
