Room was clean. Bartender/food staff friendly and helpful. However….The hotel is under construction which I was unaware of. I got there at 9 pm and you could not use front entrance. Sign for entrance pointed at back but you couldn’t drive there as cars were parked in the spot where it said entrance here. It was very unclear what to do. I had to ask a guest how the heck do you get in the building. I went in and there was construction stuff all over, including an open toilet (new but still). I did not feel very safe when I had to then walk back to my car, then drive back to front of building to park. Only spaces left were away from usable door entrances. Had to walk all around building to the back entrance by myself with my luggage. I did not feel safe to return to my car to go to find a restaurant. The front desk person said I’m sorry when I mentioned some of this. I was surprised breakfast not included and especially given the inconvenience mentioned above. She said “I’ll see what I can do” but then never said anything again. For the $ the room cost, I was very disappointed by experience. First world problem for sure. Communication about how to actually get in needed to be clearer. A big sign, excuse our mess… breakfast on us. Or something.
