"Staying at Kawaguchi was a wonderful experience. The innkeeper lady was very helpful in explaining everything and pointing us to good restaurants and giving general directions around the town. The room was surprisingly large with additional space for two in the loft. Tea and cookies provided in the room. Kimonos to wear around were a nice touch. We enjoyed the ofuro (onsen bath)."
"Loved the house and amazed by the decoration in the house. The Ryoken room was excellent with a view of the sea.The people who run the place were very hospitable."
"A little challenging to get to but once you’re there you understand why. Really beautiful location. Tough to get food at night because most of the restaurants cater only to the daytime tourists which was tough and the ferry only runs so late so you can’t get dinner late and head back. Would suggest two nights at most and hotel should be a bit more proactive about suggesting offsite food options. Staff was nice when we got there and accommodating. Loved the daytime adventures. We had two rooms —...
"Great hotel; the shower is too small and awkward for people above 5’ 7”; kind of dangerous. Also, why a slanted step up going into room? Not necessary and also dangerous. "
"Tasty food paired with good views and a short ferry ride from Hiroshima. The staff were very helpful, friendly and professional. They had many amenities and a nice, calm atmosphere perfect for relaxation and a soak in their Onsen. They offered a complimentary ride to and from the ferry, and made sure I made it to the port on time. (Otherwise a 10 minute walk) would recommend to a friend. "
"Wonderful stay in a traditional machiya. Stayed in Samurai room with terrace which was perfect to relax in after long day. Our highlight was omakase dinner with the best sushi we've ever had! Western style breakfast was delicious and not too heavy. Took chef’s advice to take evening walk to see Miyajima at night and it was perfect to see the torii gate and shrine at night without the crowds. If you can spare a night here to escape the city and experience the island in the evening would highly...
"Fantastic 1 night stay! We absolutely loved the room. The dinner and breakfast were wonderful and the service was unreal. It was a beautiful stay. Thank you "
"Best part is you are steps from the shrine. Dinner was in a private room. Hotel is on top of a creek with waterfall. Onsen was perfect. It was the crown jewel of our vacation. "

"ANA Crowne Plaza Hiroshima was a fantastic hotel. We were able to store luggage prior to check-in and the staff were most helpful with any questions we had. The room was very big for Japanese standards, with plenty of options inside the hotel for dining - but be advised, you will need to make a booking ahead of time. We went up to the rooftop beer garden on the night we checked in and it was all booked out. The hotel is quick five minute walk from the Peace Park/Museum and the ferry to take you straight to Miyajima. There’s a ton of restaurants in walking distance and you’ll find a coin operated laundry over the road too if you don’t want to pay hotel laundry prices! Highly recommend the ANA Crowne Plaza Hiroshima! "
