It was clean and well taken care of. Our two boys used cots in the living room and we were able to sleep 4 without an issue. The parking lot situation was not lovely, but was overall safe. There is a window air conditioner in the bedroom, so the winow can't be opened for fresh air. The rental agent was very responsive and brought us a fan. We liked sitting and eating on the lanai. It was a good location for enjoying Hilo. After first night I got a message saying I cannot use AC because it caused too much noise and disturbed neighbor above the unit and he complained to property manager. I spoke to property manager and she said Vacasa is already aware of this issue. This is totally unacceptable. Vacasa couldnt find another "similar" property for us move which also would have been painful to repack and move. We ended up sleeping uncomfortably in living room on the floor for rest of 2 nights with a tower fan. My wife complained she got back ache because of it and couldnt sleep well both nights. Vacasa offered 100 as compensation which they thought is pretty generous. When I said 100 is not going to justify the inconvenience caused and i didnt accept the 100, they offered a fan even after telling multiple times it wont help because bedroom is suffocating and window cannot be opened since AC unit is installed in window. Vacasa checked in with us on the second day, and we let them know of a small issue, which was taken care of immediately the next day.
