Even if you aren't staying at the hotel, I would recommend dining there to get into a Christmas vibe. The food and staff were phenomenal. The rooms were lovely and had character. There were beautiful views of green hills and sheep. The staff were excellent and very attentive. The dinner was delicious, in the veranda area at the summer night. The only negative point was the noise from a large party taking place in the venue. Our room was very close to the party and we had to endure the loud music until 23:30\. Lovely warm welcome and checkout. Seems to be a really friendly and professional team. Little touches like escorting you to your room count. Hotel is beautiful and in a stunning location. Room was really lovely with extras like a fan and hair dryer (if you need it). The absolutely scolding hot water was wonderful for a soak in the large bath tub. Molton Brown was also appreciated. TV was "Smart" so Netflix and Youtube available. Digital TV was not working in the morning - hardly an issue though. Only area that I marked down on was, because the mobile signal was nearly non-existent (Vodafone - not the hotels issue obviously), I had to rely on "Guest" wifi which was really poor to the degree working was difficult and streaming on Netflix was constantly having to spool. Whether this was the room's distance from an AP or high use, this should be addressed. Rooms could use updating. Our bedroom window had no sheer curtains and the room was right over the beer garden during hot weather so we wanted the window and curtains open for air but the people down below could see right in our room and we could hear all their conversation. The rooms comfortable and clean. We had upgraded for a hill view room through Expedia , but was disappointed we got a garden view room which was the cheaper option. Secondly there is no other options with breakfast, it’s either you have full English or toast with pot of tea you still pay the full price which I believe is unfair. Overall we had a very comfortable stay.
