Honestly, practically every wall had something pinned to it. It gave the place an unwelcoming, institutional feel - as though you were having orders barked at you from every surface. If they could take those signs down, the place would feel much more welcoming. Parking is available in the multi storey car park opposite the Town Hall. £7 for 24 hours and a five minute walk away. The guest house is very clean and tidy. I met Frank, the owner/manager, briefly and was very friendly and helpful. My room (Goldstone) was perfectly adequate for my one night stay, with a comfortable bed and an en suite bathroom that was rather compact, but was big enough to have a (short) bath. Clean comfortable room. Easy and consistent access to the free WiFi. Comfortable bed. Only strange thing was checking in on the Sunday afternoon when absolutely no staff there! However details re my room, door code to main entrance, details re breakfast, WiFi codes all on my bed plus my room key! Full English breakfast was cooked to order, hot and tasty, selection of teas, cereals, plentiful toast. Manager and person cooking breakfast were very hospitable. If you are willing to stay out of the centre of Brighton, very very reasonably priced. It was functional and facilities were ok - nothing terrible, but nothing to rave about.
