The twinkling lights of the village below melt with the evening stars above to create a spectacular Yonah Mountain light show! Park your car because Moondance is within walking distance of Helen's many shops, restaurants, and activities. Take the Unicoi Trail (to the right of the driveway) to Unicoi State Park or just the short trail that brings you the back of the property and be sure to bring your camera - if you are lucky you may have souvenir photos of deer, eagles, woodpeckers and YES! Bears! There is something at Moondance for the entire family (including fur babies)! The modern rustic interior of Moondance, with a spacious and open floor plan, features a window seat beside the fireplace looking out to views of Yonah Mountain - perfect for that morning cup of coffee! The main floor consists of kitchen/dining area, living room, and master bedroom with full bath. The master has rustic King Log Bed and opens out to the covered porch with rocking chairs to take in the views - perfect for that evening sip of wine. The location is wonderful, close to town while being far enough away to feel secluded and get away from our busy lifestyles for a bit. The home had everything we needed, including a great walk out basement perfect for our dog’s crate and her things while also being a very relaxing tv and game room. We LOVE the outdoor space…looking out into the mountains in rocking chairs. The fire pit was so much fun and perfect for our final evening with s’mores. The modern kitchen had all the appliances we needed to cook great meals, including a gas stove and oven, dishwasher and large refrigerator/freezer. We brought some of our own cleaning supplies and a Kurig kcup to make things a bit easier but it was not necessary. Thank you MoonDance for a wonderful stay. You easily can walk to where you wanted to go but then still quiet enough to enjoy the surrounding nature. We did have WiFi issues and I know there were some recent tower problems in the area. We were not there to stare at devices anyway so no biggie. The cabin was well maintained and plenty of space. We really enjoyed having access to the Unicoi/Helen trail directly across the street where you can enjoy a pleasant 5+mile hike round trip if you go all the way to the park. There are lots of wineries to enjoy in the area but will require some driving. You will not be disappointed when you pick this cabin. ##### Ron H.
