New for 2021. This spacious lodge has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Laurel Lodge is easily accessed by paved roads. Come unwind in a woodland retreat near antique shops, restaurants, and vineyards. You’ll also have plenty of activities from swimming, fishing, boating, hiking, to wine tasting. The kids will love Splash Island in Hiawassee or ziplining in Helen. Lake Chatuge is 1.5 miles away, Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds 6 miles away, Bell Mountain is 6 miles away, downtown Helen 21 miles away, Brasstown Bald mountain 15 miles There are fantastic waterfalls in all directions from Laurel Lodge. Dirty. Commodes were too small. Heat didn’t work. 52 degrees inside. Gas grill was very nasty. Never been cleaned, plus no gas for the grill.

Sisters’ annual trip
4 sisters who travel together somewhere every Fall. Octoberfest in Helen, hikes to waterfall, picnics, Hiawassee Fair, Murphy, NC for casino, and topped it all with Trace Adkins concert. Jam packed and memorable trip with a perfect cabin where we could rest and regenerate!

Great stay!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house. The amenities were great, everything we needed to cook a meal and even some nice extra things around the house (hand soap, extra toothbrush, etc.) the beds were very comfortable as well. Night recommend and would stay there again!

Christmas getaway
We vacationed with grown kids planning to visit Helen and hike. An unplanned hard freeze with single digit temps shortened the hikes but the house was roomy and cozy and we enjoyed the fireplace. The overnight temps made the house a little chilly even with central heat but I don’t think it would happen under normal conditions.

My son, his fiancé and I enjoyed our stay. We were in the area to celebrate Thanksgiving in Young Harris with family and friends. The house was well-equipped, clean, and comfortable. My request for VRBO is to reflect taxes and fees up front when showing cost of the rentals.

2022 Labor Day Weekend Getaway
Absolutely loved the cabin and the location. It’s only 30 minutes from Helen, GA and it’s very close to all the conveniences of Hiawassee. Beautiful, clean, and well maintained, and we encountered zero issues. I would highly recommend this place anyone staying in Hiawassee.
