You can hear the peaceful sound of nearby rapids from the deck. Songbirds, as well as duck, blue herons, deer and the elusive river otter make an appearance from time to time. We spent most of our time relaxing on the back deck, and the guys did some fly fishing on the river bank. We took day trips into Dahlonega (great lunch at Shenanigans) and Helen, and had a delicious, quiet lunch with no tourists that day at the nearby Unicoi State Park Lodge. ##### Brenda Z. The home was fully stocked with cooking utensils to shampoo and kleenex! We brought food in from Tomatoe House. I think we went there at least 5 times. Used the grill. Was not aware that the owner was only feet away. Riverbank was not cleaned up enough to fish. Felt like everything we did was being watched.
