Good Hotel, but ask for a room change if noisy
Some of the rooms face on to area that loads/unloads goods at 5am, so if you like the window open....its an annoyance. Nice staff.

Nice stay in hasselt
I booked a standard room. It was a good stay. I stayed during corona times with the lockdown still in place. Dinner options were nice, ordered tartar. Also reasonably good breakfast, a choice of croissants, bread, cheese and meats. The room was nice and comfortable. Convenient location to walk around the city center. Parking in a paid facility, priced at 16 eur per night.

Almost perfect :)
Recently refurbished hotel with spacious and clean rooms. The hotel is in a nice area, close to the centre and the canal quai with its restaurants. The hotel staff were friendly and email communication prior to the stay was good as well. The hotel breakfast was good for the price paid. I wish there was some way to reduce the amount of plastic waste during breakfast, but I understand that during Corona times this may be difficult. The only thing I would change is the light in the room. The lightbulbs are too dim, so sometimes the room was a bit too dark. Other than that, our stay was perfect :)

The service was outstanding. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Location was convenient as well. Only downside: - no parking at hotel, paid parking at 2min walk - limited vegetarian options at the breakfast

Regrettably, while being in the centre is a great plus no hotels in this area have private parking; beneath the hotel is a public underground parking ‘Molenpoort’, with direct access to our lobby for 16 euro per 24 hours. However, free car parks can be found on the slaughterhouse quay and waterway, at 100 m and 600 m from the hotel if preferred our team are available to assist with directions and further information. There are also two places in front of the hotel for people with reduced mobility We hope that we may have the pleasure of seeing you again in the future. Stayed here during the bs covid restrictions for a surgery at the nearby wellness kliniek and it was perfect! Staff was extremely friendly, snack bar had an awesome selection, and the restaurant was great. Room was also beautiful and modern. Hotel is also in a good location with walking access to shops and cafes. Will definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Belgium.

This is a difficult time for hotels, but many have adapted. There’s been little effort here. Understaffed reception meant queues and a risk to social distancing. They still had a crowded buffet breakfast where you had to touch the same milk bottles or juice dispensers where other hotels have made an effort to keep people at the tables. The HI crew need to take a look at how other, better run, hotels have adapted during Covid. All this one has done has increased its pricing to a luxury level but not invested in service or processes.

Great Hotel - marvellous location
Newly renovated rooms - great hotel in a central location. Underground car park next door with direct access to the hotel lift. Ideally situated for visits to Netherlands and Germany which are about 30 mins away

Good value for money
The hotel was basic but worth it for the price. The photos on Hotels.com were for a more modern room than the one we got, the bathroom was super dated compared to the nice photos on here. Very clean room and common areas, super comfortable bed.

This is a good hotel, however, it really lets it’s self down when it comes to parking. It will cost €16 euros for 24 hrs, but if you take the car out then the the parking fees starts again. However, if you do not have a car I would recommend the hotel.

The breakfast was the most comprehensive free hotel breakfast I've ever seen. Make yourself some (Belgian) waffles and add all the nutella, cookie butter, peanut butter, syrups, jams, etc etc you want. Room was huge by European standards. Not a fancy place, but good for business travel and families.

It's an older hotel but located very close to UHasselt and the main shopping areas. Location is A+. Internet was down when we arrived for around 24 hours or so. I felt bad for the folks working the front desk who were being accosted by guests, Belgian, American and alike. I know we like our internet and we like it fast but the people at the front desk had NOTHING to do with it being down nor could they fix the problem. When it was working, it was painfully slow and kept dropping from our room. I had to station myself in one spot and not move in order to get messages (yes, that bad). The hotel could also use a renovation seeing as the Holiday Inn Express was around the corner and was comparable accommodations. We had substandard meals at the restaurant for lunch/dinner (and the waitstaff for our meals were VERY unfriendly compared to other places we ate in Hasselt BUT the breakfast buffet was DELICIOUS and if you can, book your stay with the breakfast included (it was 18 euros per person extra and it was not as expensive if you book with breakfast included). Hasselt is a WONDERFUL place to visit in Belgium and I highly recommend visiting. People were so friendly and everyone we interacted with spoke english.

The hotel was nice and convenient to the university. It was also near several restaurants. The breakfast was amazing and I was so glad that my rate included it. Totally worth it! My only complaint is that my bed wasn't very comfortable.

It was an expensive stay for what it was, parking was extra at €16 a day, the meal in the adjoining restaurant was pleasant but expensive. The air conditioning in the room was not working properly, apparently due to a leak earlier, this was reported to reception who suggested opening the windows, which was not ideal when it was noisy and a hot evening, we were given a fan but there was insufficient power sockets to be able to put the fan in a good place to cool the whole family. Also we were only supplied with 2 small towels did a family of four, again had to report to reception.

Very nice hotel, rooms are comfortable. Very good breakfast in the morning ! Only small negative point was that on one evening, there was a guy who seemed to be very drunk and was making a lot of noise at a late hour and unfortunately, his room was not too far from mine... Other than that, everything else was great !

Great location central to many restaurants and bars. Parking was easy and the rooms were very nice.
