Very nice experience. We had a view of the bay and we enjoyed the access trail from the back of the property to the water.
Room was well furnished and clean.
Breakfast was good and had a lot of options.

The hotel room I had was so very nice. I love how it was decorated with the beach theme and the balcony was really nice to have morning coffee on. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay.

We have visited Atlantic Beach many times before but rented a townhouse further down the island.. Pepper tree was new to us and we really liked it. We did not like the long walk to the beach as we always stay right on the beach . However the beach was beautiful for walking and swimming and the water warm. No crowds just perfect!

We left early so we didnt get an opportunity to have breakfast. However we did enjoy lunch at Molly's. Was lovely. The only thing I was disappointed with was the cold outdoor pool. I know guests would enjoy having a larger window to enjoy the outdoor pool on those slightly cooler days if it was heated. 😊 my husband and I are more beach inclined and the sand was extraordinary.

The staff accommodated our request for a checking in after midnight. The area was very safe, clean, walking distance to the beach, and close to amenities. Too bad the coffee carafe was broken, and the TV remote ran out of battery, but we did not notify the staff because we did not come here ti watch TV.

Cute little roadside motel with direct beach access...and what a beautiful beach. Motel is exactly what it says it is..no frills , comfortable bed, couple of food choices nearby. On site staff were friendly and most helpful. Thank you :)

The best area to stay in Harkers Island is along the main road, Harkers Island Road, which runs through the heart of the island.
This area offers convenient access to most of the island's amenities and attractions. You'll find a selection of local shops, restaurants, and accommodation options spread along this road, making it easy to get around by car or even on a bicycle. The island itself is relatively small, so staying along this central thoroughfare means you're never far from anything.
Families often find this area ideal due to the proximity to attractions like the Core Sound Waterfowl Museum & Heritage Center, which offers engaging exhibits about the local culture and wildlife. Many of the vacation rentals and smaller inns here also provide easy access to boat launches and fishing charters, great for family outings on the water.
Couples looking for a peaceful getaway will appreciate the quiet charm of the properties located off Harkers Island Road, particularly those with views of the Core Sound.

Couples looking for a peaceful getaway will also appreciate the shoulder seasons. The tranquil setting of Harkers Island is enhanced by the quieter atmosphere, allowing for romantic strolls along the shore or serene evenings enjoying the coastal views.
