The house is very well-furnished and maintained. Nice kitchen and laundry appliances. Only one bedroom and one bath, but a comfortable layout and plenty of room for a couple or small family plus dog-friendly with nice landscaping and a huge back yard. Very close to Applecrest Farm which is fun to visit. The house is on a somewhat busy road, but we had no issues with noise inside the house. The area is beautiful and within a short drive to beaches, Portsmouth, and the New Hampshire seacoast. Hosts live next door and were great with communication and not at all intrusive. Four of the window cranks were broken ai they were impossible or difficult to open and two windows were missing screens. Owner sent an email saying the back door would be open, which it was, but there is no outdoor lighting, so finding your way in with a late night arrival was a challenge. The worst thing is the dangerous conditions in the bathroom. The step down is deeper than anyone would anticipate and the tile floor is really slick. When I informed the owner about a bad fall and recommended making sure things were safer for future renters by supplying a nonskid rug on the tile floor she was very cavalier and took no responsibility. I left one night earlier than I paid for and was glad to head to another hotel.
