Beautiful home 20 minutes north of Hilo
We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful private oceanfront home. Sunrises were beautiful! It is a bit north of Hilo so it was at least a 20 minute drive if we chose to go out to eat. Being on the “wet” side of the island, we experienced intermittent rain almost every day, which gave us lush tropical views and the rain did not prevent us from getting out and experiencing nature everyday. The location was ideal for us otherwise, as we traveled all over the island and didn’t intend to just hang out in Hilo. Having the rooms on either side of the home was ideal for us. Each couple had their own space away from each other, as well as their own outside area. One thing the others in our group found challenging was that the counters are set higher than normal counter height. Even though there is no air conditioning we found the air flow with the breeze off the ocean and windows open worked great for cooling the place down at night when we got back from exploring.

If you’re going to Hilo stay here! Everything about this home was wonderful. The view is knock down gorgeous and the home doesn’t disappoint. We found ourselves arriving early and the property manager let us check in a couple hours early. Hilo is not far away and is a quaint little town with many farmers markets and a nice local grocery store. The food and restaurants where delicious. Kekela was very responsive anytime we had questions or concerns and needed to text which was rare. We absolutely loved our stay and will stay again if we find ourselves back in Hilo!

A Welcome Sanctuary
We were in awe of this place from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Upon walking through the door we were immediately greeted by an amazing view of the ocean from the massive bank of windows at the front of the home. We were treated to breaching whales, starry skies, and beautiful sunrises. The house was immaculate, spacious, and well stocked. It gave ample space for our family of four to spread out and relax. It was a reasonable distance from the hustle and bustle of Hilo and gave us the peace and relaxation we were seeking.

Heaven in Hilo
It was dark and raining when we arrived at the Cliff House but even in those conditions we were WOWED as soon as we opened the front door. The Cliff House is beautiful, warm, and Inviting. And where else can you see whales while washing dishes or just sitting on the couch! Communication was excellent. Five days just weren’t enough. We look forward to returning.

Wonderful home!
This home is listed accurately. It is beautiful! Perfect for two couples - bedroom and bath on each side and large spacious living area and kitchen in between. The decks and patio are awesome! Fairly well equipped kitchen, although be prepared for buying some basic essentials ... aluminum foil, baggies, spices, etc. Breathtaking views of the ocean. We saw whales every day. The neighborhood is great and the home is a quick drive to Hilo and many attractions... Highly recommend the Cliff House!

Here we are, nestled with my parents and our little one, and as a couple, we've uncovered the ultimate Hawaiian retreat during our two-decade-spanning visits. This property and its neighborhood transport us to a paradise where every dawn and dusk unfurls like a mesmerizing painting, uniting us as a family. Our splendid abode keeps us not only secure but also in perfect harmony with nature. Our hearts brim with longing to return to this idyllic haven, again and again."

Gorgeous Views!
Immediately walking through the front door you are greeted with floor to ceiling windows with views of the ocean! No air conditioning; however, with the windows and doors open and the fans provided, the house was comfortable even for sleeping at night. Kitchen was well stocked. Perfect location if wanting to stay close to Hilo!

Amazing view and awesome house! Clean, comfortable, quiet, secluded (may want to have ear plugs if the little frogs bother you at night)... kitchen very well stocked, was difficult to leave!

Fabulous paradise
We loved staying at this beautiful, well kept piece of paradise. The sunrise views were awesome and the sound of the waves melodic. The pictures on line well depict the property. Birds and frogs sang to us. The privacy was perfect for us. The three of us thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Thank you for the privilage.

Peaceful Paradise
Lovely comfortable house with beautiful surrounds and amazing views of the ocean. Wake up to sunrise over the water and the birds and be lulled to sleep by the sounds of the waves and the frogs.
