The place is outfitted very well like a foothills cabin should be. The bed is comfortable. The kitchen is just enough for a continental breakfast and to keep some supplies cool. Breakfast on the porch is nice (although the porch area could use a power wash and some new cushions). It was very pleasant, hearing the creek (and a bit of traffic noise). My colleagues there complained about the noise, partying, vomit in trash cans, etc. This VRBO place was just a few blocks away but no noise other than soothing sound of the creek and occasional car. It wasnt fancy but clean and comfortable. The window blinds didn’t completely cover the windows (I’m used to hotel like curtains) but it wasn’t an issue. We are active seniors and enjoyed the easy access of downtown NC restaurants and shops. The studio apartment had everything we needed. It's unusual to find a King bed in a studio. The mattress was very comfortable with great linens and the outdoor patio by the creek was a place we enjoyed coffee and evening cocktails. We felt safe and secure I had some technical difficulties with my VRBO app, but their technical support helped and I was able to contact the owner, Robert with very quick responses from a few questions we had. Aug 7, 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location #### Great location to explore historic Nevada City This was our first visit to Nevada City and we loved the town and the region. The Creekside Cottage is a very short walk to town. The cottage is located over the creek which is beautiful. You can hear the roar of the creek although it is not too visible from the cottage. Everything in the cottage was super clean. Communication with the owner was excellent. Nice towels and good shower. Charming and historic details. In fact i wish the owners provided information about the history of this sweet little place. Be aware that the kitchen is a kitchenette and although listed as having an oven it only has a toaster oven. Not only was it warm, cozy and had all the amenities one would want, it was in an excellent location! Just a few minutes walk from historic downtown Nevada City and local trails!
