"If you’re looking for a relaxing experience up the north shore, look no more! Truly, our family needed a place to congregate since most of us live out of state and it was very accommodating. It has all the bells and whistles in the kitchen from sharp fabulous knives to a Darth Vader toaster…lol. The enclosed porch has a game table to a sofa that faces Lake Superior. Every night we enjoyed chatting by the fire place with enough room for all 7 of us. They have views from every aspect of their adorable cabin. When I tell you we were pleasantly surprised when we entered our code to enter the “barn” looking cabin is an understatement. Decorated very lovely and so very relaxing. Thank you for a wonderful experience, and we hope to return again."

"We had a great stay on the North Shore. Close to Grand Marais, as well as the Canadian Border, so choose your own adventure. Our boys fished off the lighthouse point in GM, and we did a hike up at Grand Portage on the border. Spent tons of time on the lakefront, and watched the younger kids climb all over everything while collecting more rocks to bring home. The absolute highlight, from a Minneapolis family, was the stargazing! No Northern Lights, but wow! What an amazing view of our corner of the galaxy. We'll be back, for sure!"

"The cabin is smaller, but offers plenty of space for a couple travelling to the area! It was clean and well-stocked. The views of the forest surrounding the cabin are beautiful, and the stars were amazing on a clear night. Hearing wolves in the distance from the comfort of the cabin was exciting. The sauna was great to use after a day of hiking and exploring downtown Grand Marais. We would definitely stay here again!"

"This was the perfect solo long weekend off-grid in the woods. The level of small details that were present everywhere just made this such a perfect place to go, be quiet and reconnect with nature, even when sitting inside by the fire and staring outside. Would recommend this property 100% and will be staying again."

"Beautiful 20-acre Maple Forest. One of the best rustic cabins I have ever stayed in and I have traveled this area for 35+ years. Location unbelievable, good directions and description, enjoyed the sauna, view through large windows in cabin breathtaking. Only change I would make to listing: bring ice or other means to refrigerate food. listing didn't indicate this. No bathroom, outhouse only. I think listing said there is half bath."

"The Mökki cabin was a breath of air and a wonderful getaway. Bathing in the sauna was unexpectedly refreshing, be sure to keep the sauna steamy while you wash up! The cabin is a stroll away from the historic Hovland dock which is great for fishing or watching the sunset. Will definitely be back!"
