This cozy 3 bedroom/2 bathroom log cabin sits on a hilltop on just over 1/3 of an acre with spectacular views of Shadow Mountain, Shadow Mountain Lake & Never Summer Mountain Range. It is less than 1/2 mile to the main snowmobile trail. Enjoy spectacular mountain/lake views from the covered deck or BBQ dinner on the grill on the wrap around deck or relax on the bonus deck off the lower level bedroom. The cabin is immaculate & very cozy inside with a gas fireplace & every detail you could think of including WIFI, movies, books, toys, 2 satellite TV's, Washer/Dryer, outdoor FIRE PIT, horseshoes, pack-n-play, highchair, sheets, towels, jetted whirlpool bathtub & board games. Decorated with shabby cabin chic details - you will find the finishing touches incredible yet very comfortable. Only a 10 minute walk to town. In addition to the King, Queen & 2 x-long twin beds (sleeps 6 adults max) there are 2 self inflating mats & 2 sleeping bags (for kids = 8 total). Only 2 minutes to the main snowmobile/ATV trails. There is a fully equipped kitchen with plenty of pots, pans, dishes, blender, Keurig coffee & regular coffee maker, crock pot, wine glasses, platters, basic spices, some condiments & much more. Plenty of parking for 3-4 cars in our 1/2 circle driveway. Grand Lake and Rocky Mountain National Park: Grand Lake is quaint village on the shores of Colorado's largest natural lake and the western entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. With Shadow Mountain Lake & Lake Granby there is more than 150 miles of scenic shoreline to explore, hike or fish. The Grand Lake area has plenty to do including: boating, sailing, fishing, hiking, golfing, hot sulpher springs, shopping, live theater or just enjoying the warm sunny days and cool evenings in the summer. In the winter you can enjoy snowmobiling, cross country & down hill skiing, hot springs, snow shoeing, sleigh rides, dog sled rides & sledding. In the fall you will appreciate the smaller crowds & the aspen leaves that turn a golden yellow & great wildlife viewing as the elk & moose make their way down from the mountains. You can also admire the elk bugling/mating season – simply a must see/hear! In the winter you need 4WD or AWD to get up the hill to the cabin. \*Note: this cabin is in Grand Lake, Colorado. Vrbo/HomeAway recently lumped Grand Lake with Estes Park (2-3+hours drive summer/winter), Winter Park, Fraser, Tabernash & the town of Granby (20-50 min drive). It had wonderful views of the lake and everything we needed. We would definitely consider staying again. We had a small problem with the water but the owner responded right away and all was well. The only thing that we felt needed immediate attention are the double doors to the deck. We almost got locked out due to the fact that the door handle on the outside is broken and won't open, even if the door is unlocked. I had locked the other door and the keypad also does not function. Luckily, I had the actual key in my pocket allowing us to get in the other door. This could be a pretty big problem and should be fixed. We live in CO and have friends in the area and overall we would recommend this property. ##### Julianne P. The location is perfect, there were so many extras provided (Games, fire pit, stuffies in kids room, etc). My only comment is it gets quite warm in summer and we needed to keep all window blinds closed in order to have the temp stay in the 70s on the main level. Two couples slept very comfortably here - we each had our own level! The kitchen is well appointed with almost anything you could possibly imagine - it's like going to a friend's house or maybe your grandparent's mountain cabin. Host was incredibly responsive and nice. The firepit is fantastic, with a perfect view, and I really appreciated the firewood (and damp weather so we could light a fire!)Beds are very comfortable and we slept really well on the mattresses (bring an extra pillow if you have back issues but you won't need anything else). Water gets super hot and great pressure. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a great stay! ##### Erin M. Very close to Adam Falls, which a must do! The main street has lots of shops and good food options. We enjoyed a bonfire while watching the amazing sunset.
