Both far exceeded our expectations. The sunrises over the lake were nothing short of spectacular. The full moon ascending over the mountain was absolutely glorious. Once fully above us, the moonlight illuminated the lake, glittering diamonds dancing on the water. A herd of elk welcomed us as we first arrived at the property. I knew at that moment our stay would be absolutely magical. Once we stepped into the cabin we were awed by the authenticity of this well appointed family home. We’ve stayed in plenty of vacation cabins which are decorated tackily like secondhand furniture from someone’s basement. From the cabin logs, to the artwork and decor, the fireplace and that kitchen that has utensils you didn’t know you needed. There was nothing missing from this beautiful home. If we could award 10 stars, we absolutely would. Our host were welcoming and attentive. The cabin was absolutely spotless. The host Maureen was responsive and accessible, the check out and in instructions were clear. The home was perfect for our group. Our family of 6 (four kids 8y-16y) had an amazing time at this super clean and fun-filled cabin. Amazing views and so much to do! The photos are truly accurate.So many games to play together, yet also enough space for us to have time apart. Kids loved the downstairs game area while the parents enjoyed the scenic quiet views on the deck and living room. So peaceful and serene.All of the bedrooms and bathrooms were also spacious. This home was very clean, spacious, and full of amenities. The extras that were provided, like a starter supply of essentials and kitchen condiments, were much appreciated. We were amazed by the gorgeous lake view easily seen from the front deck and yard. The wildlife (deer, elk, moose and chipmunks) walked right in front of the house daily! This home is a 5 minute drive to downtown Grand Lake where lots of shopping and dining is available. The west entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park is less than a 10 minute drive away. And so much bigger than the pictures show. It was also stocked with everything imaginable. Our family definitely overpacked. The view from the deck is something out of a dream! We saw from that deck Moose, Elk, Deer, chipmunks. It was incredible to watch all that wildlife up close. We played ping pong, cornhole, shuffleboard. So much to do here! The hot tub was in mint condition believe me I'm picky when it comes to hot tubs ;) Checkin and out was simple. The town of Grand Lake was also really neat and the people were so friendly. The location was perfect! We were 5 minutes from town, but had all the privacy we needed. A moose or two visited us each day along with marmots, chipmunks, and deer. The cabin was super comfortable.
