I had already made the jump, and this is my friend, Brooke, taking the leap while I floated on a kayak below. It takes an adventurous spirit to see the stomach-dropping fear in front of you, and take the leap to overcome it. Lake Powell is a great spot to find epic rock climbing and cliff jumping. Those who manage to complete the epic climb are rewarded with the thrill of an epic jump! But it is important to always take every precaution, and always check the depth of the water prior to jumping. I stay for the view and view only. The view is 10/10! The staff is not great, not super friendly. I was told when we checked in that there was complimentary breakfast. There was not. The guy working the coffee bar charges me for brown sugar for my latte but then told me when I asked for more because it tasted like there was none he said oh sorry it’s at the condiment bar and what he was referring to was raw sugar not brown sugar, but he insisted it was brown sugar. It is not it is just raw sugar. The rooms are SUPER out dated. The beds are hard and if you are a light sleeper this is not the place for you. The gap at the bottom of the door is so big. You can hear everything in the hallway. They view is the best part of this place. They charged me for a “ resort “ fee but there were no resort amenities available at the time that I went so I’m not sure why they’re charging a resort fee if there are no resort amenities. Stay at your own risk .
