Overall, I enjoyed our stay here though I’m not shouting with joy. I love that it is only a short walk down to the Glen Canyons dam overlook. It’s only a couple of minutes from the main shopping and eating areas as well as Horseshoe Bend, so it was very well located. Upon checking in, I didn’t get a friendly vibe and wasn’t told about whether any amenities were open or closed due to COVID. They advertised free breakfast online but when I went to the lobby to look, I didn’t see any and there were no staff available to ask. It wasn’t until the next day when I saw a piece of paper taped to the front desk window that stated you had to request a grab and go breakfast from one of the attendants. So the next morning, I did. It wasn’t good at all. A complete waste of food and money. I specifically wanted a kitchen so that we could cook and keep our expenses down but the kitchen was lacking. No oven or stovetop. You can ask for an electric hot plate but the skillet is really small and can barely fit anything. Silverware missing so you had to ask the front desk for plasticware each time. The toilet kept clogging for no reason. Hot tub was open although the pool was not. I met a lovely couple at the hot tub and that made our stay more pleasant. It’s a very pretty hotel but since you couldn’t enjoy the amenities (like the outdoor seating area with the fire pits - no gas, the bbq grill - no gas, pool, breakfast), I could’ve probably stayed at a cheaper place and had the same experience.
