"Felt like a brand new hotel, although a bit pricey for a regular traveller passing through. Having said that, I want to THANK the woman who checked us in. The line up was several deep and after 12 hours on the road we were exhausted. I figured we’d be there forever, but she was fast, courteous, professional and so very friendly that I was impressed. I am so rarely impressed these days by friendly, courteous, professional customer service that I really felt I needed to say thank you."

"Although we were only able to stay the night, this was a beautiful off the grid pit stop located on the edge of beautiful Avery Lake. We enjoyed sitting on the dock, listening to the loons calling and reading our books. Ed was a fantastic host. We would love to be able to come back for a longer visit to enjoy all this spot and accommodation has to offer! So many amenities and opportunities if you love Mother Nature!"
