"We absolutely loved The Shady Pine at Barren River Lake, with one caveat: we arrived after dark, and I don't recommend that. My GPS provided street names and our directions were based on the route numbers and cell service was very spotty. Melissa was great - we called and told her where we were and she was able to verify that our GPS was correct - thankfully! Shady Pines is fully stocked with everything you could want. The weather was very hot so we rented a boat and spent a day on the lake (great swimming!) and went to Mammoth Cave twice which is amazing - and cool. Overall, we were very pleased with our accommodations and had a great time!"

"Everything was clean, cute & a great getaway! The only thing is maybe having signs before the property because gps takes you on a whirl wind. Otherwise, everything was perfect!"
