Wander through the 17th-century Dutch fort with its colonial architecture, lighthouse, and sea views that define this UNESCO site. Climb the ramparts at sunset, then sample fresh seafood at harbourside restaurants or join locals playing cricket on grassy squares.

The hotel staff is what makes this stay the most comfortable and relaxing. The location couldn't be better and we were excited to have breakfast every morning because of the quality of food and service.

This place was a classy 11/10 type of stay! Amazing place run by wonderfully helpful people. The Villa and rooms are immaculately kept and the breakfast was delicious. These guys were eager to please and super helpful with arranging tuks for us and giving us the low down of the area. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

We arrived later than planned and the staff was more than accommodating - he waited for us till shortly before 10pm and checked us in promptly. The breakfast was the best we had in Sri Lanka! They also stored our luggage for us when we went out to explore town. The hotel is a heritage Dutch colonial house, and we appreciated the rich history this place preserves.

A beautiful old hotel. The architecture is stunning. The pool area is especially lovely. The staff are the best I have experienced in a long time; very accommodating... always there with a smiling face ready to help you. The bar men serve the best Dry Martini's in Sri Lanka! I highly recommend staying here if you want to be out of Galle Fort for a change.

Clean & spacious room/bathroom. Imran was courteous and helpful. Sunil made a delicious breakfast according to our likes.
Very convenient location to go for walk on the Rampart and view sunrise/sunset. If I visit Galle again I would definitely stay at Fort Bliss.

Staying here was good for a short stay in Galle. While a little far from the Fort, it was about a 12 minute tuk ride. I think this is more of a home stay than a hotel, but the service was excellent!
I originally booked the bottom floor, but thought I have booked the top. The staff, Capa, allowed me to choose from all the rooms since I was the only visitor during my stay- so nice! He also helped talk to my tuk drivers when they couldn't find the pick up location to go into town, and let me check...
