The apartment includes a balcony, a living area, a TV with cable channels, a well-equipped open-plan kitchen with a dining area. The bedroom has a double bed and a private bathroom inside, with a shower cubicle. This property can accommodate two adults and one child (maximum), as it has a sofa bed for one person in the living room. The balcony is accessed through the living area. In this space, you can take the opportunity to enjoy a nice meal al fresco. The building has a common entrance and is located in Rua da Alegria, one of the arteries near the La Vie Shopping Centre. Wi-Fi available in all areas. Apartment in a building with stairs and no private parking available. AREA Building located in the Funchal city center. From this building you will be able to know all the downtown and main points of interest. It is situated right next to restaurants, shopping centres, bars, museums, the Cathedral of Funchal, Funchal Municipal Garden, Funchal Marina and Municipal Theatre. In the city center there is plenty of information about all kinds of activities you can do during your holidays: cultural activities, radical activities, nature related activities... whatever the purpose of your visit to Madeira Island! GETTING AROUND The best option to get to the property will be the transfer. Ask us to book one with our local partners. It is cheaper than the taxis you find at the airport. The only downside is that it becomes very warm during the day (even with all windows and curtains closed) and is really difficult to get it to cool down during the evening/night. Plus it seems like the curtain in the bathroom are very see-through, especially when its dark outside and you have to lights on in the bathroom, which makes it kind of uncomfortable to take a shower. Other than that, the apartment has all the facilities you might need during your stay and is very comfortable and roomy. Location is perfect, with a cheap parking (parque 2000), a mall with supermarket and city heart close by. ##### Nicky P. Jul 7, 2023 #### Great apartment Great apartment, 5 minutes walk from the center, 1 minute from the shopping center. Renovated, equipped with the necessary including washing machine. Do not provide parking but it’s easy to find nearby. The only negative point, the curtains of the room, white, enters all the light, day and night. It has no blinds or dark curtains. Apr 14, 2025 #### Really disappointing The accommodation really disappointed us and I wish we booked somewhere else for our week long stay in Funchal. The main issue (which I now see has been raised multiple times before) is the shower. The way it's designed means that you have to hold it with your hand and there is no seal at the bottom so water gets everywhere in the bathroom each time you shower. I raised this to the team at the time but nothing happened to sort it. We also found the flat very stuffy and had to sleep with the windows open but the road was really busy and loud, so we didn't sleep well throughout our stay.
