### The Nook - Stylish Homestay - Heart of Frome

Summary:  
The perfect romantic getaway or catch up with friends. This is the best location in Frome old town, just a stones throw from so many award-winning shops, restaurants and cafes. The cottage oozes sophistication, combining period charm with contemporary Scandi design. So quirky, so chic, you will want to stay forever. Shop all day, soak in the bath, dine out or order an incredible Mezze from the High Pavement and watch a movie by the fire. Heaven awaits down the historic cobbled streets of Frome.  
  
The Space:  
Please note, due to the central location parking is a short walk away. We do provide lots of information on parking prior to arrival, we want to make sure our guests are fully aware of this. Thank you.  
  
Also; If you would like bedding for the sofa bed, please let us know in advance so we can make sure this is ready on arrival.   
  
A stay in Frome is made all the more enjoyable when you choose this stylish apartment. Situated in a Grade II listed building dating back to the 1700s, you can expect ample period features throughout - from wooden sash windows and exposed wooden floorboards. And it’s layout is unique and charming too. You walk into the ground floor, where you’ll find the bedroom and kitchen. All of which have been expertly decorated with style and taste it looks straight out of an interior design magazine.  
  
The muted-red kitchen is a total delight to cook in, boasting beautiful ceramic stoneware and elegant brass fittings which tie in perfectly with the bathroom on the next level. Head upstairs to the top floor to an open-plan living and dining area that’s flooded with natural light. Enjoy meals around the checker-board dining table before sinking into your linen sofa and getting the wood burner roaring (see notes section on logs).  
  
This home is based in a sought-after location just off Frome’s cobbled market street. You’re just a short stroll from the heart of the town, where you’ll find lots of history to explore, as well as restaurants and shops to indulge in.  
  
Guest Access:  
The whole house is yours to use with no restrictions. This characterful property isnt suitable for those with mobility issues as steps internally. Paid parking by M&S Foods. Or free parking at the top of Cork Street Car Park. More details supplied upon booking.  
  
The Neighborhood:  
This property is in the perfect location to experience all Frome has to offer. Highlighted as one of the Times "Best Places to Live in Britain", Frome is a welcoming, charming, and vibrant town with a rich history, culture, and natural beauty. It is packed with historic buildings, independent shops, and creative individuals, making it an inspiring and unique destination. Frome's historic center is filled with architectural interest and a thriving contemporary arts scene.   
  
As the original Somerset Market Town, Frome hosts regular markets on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, along with 'The Frome Independent Market' on the first Sunday of each month from March to December. This market attracts thousands of visitors and showcases local food, artists, designers, produce, and entertainment.   
  
Frome also features specialty shops, arts venues, galleries, and a growing reputation as a hub for creative industries. The town hosts various events throughout the year, including the Frome Festival, the Frome Agricultural Cheese Show, the Carnival, and the Frome Christmas Extravaganza.   
  
Outdoor enthusiasts can explore the surrounding nature, including Cley Hill, Orchardleigh, the Frome river, and East Woodlands. Wildlife lovers can spot horses, sheep, cows, dragonflies, kites, and buzzards in the area.

Parking  
There is unloading only by the property. Full details on parking options will be provided. All parking options are a 5 min walk from the property.  
  
Train   
The nearby Frome train station offers frequent services to Bath and Bristol, providing convenient transportation options from London and other areas.   
  
Taxi  
It's best to pre book a taxi to and from the train station. Call Shawn at Smile Taxis to arrange.   
  
Bus  
Excellent bus links connect to neighboring towns such as Glastonbury and Wells. Frequent busses to Bath and Trowbridge. The bus stops are along Vallis Road and the two main bus stops in town outside Boots.  
  
Other Things to Note:  
We do have quiet hours between 8am and 10pm in respect of our neighbours.  
  
Check in is at 4pm and checkout is at 10am.  
  
We can provide a travel cot and high-chair on request.
