« The historic home was clean and well decorated, and the spacious property well maintained. Because of our early season visit to celebrate my wife’s milestone birthday, we unfortunately weren’t able to fully enjoy the outdoor amenities, but hope to return during a warmer time to get the full experience. The kitchen was well appointed and the bedrooms quite comfortable. The proprietor, Laure, was very generous, and accessible to answer all our questions. We would recommend this gem to anyone...

« We had a great stay at Hillandale! It was a perfect spot for gathering family in town for our son’s wedding. It was clean, comfortable and very well stocked. There were lovely extras like snack baskets and fresh flowers in every room and extra toiletries in the bathrooms. A highlight was the beautiful outdoor space and setting. The house is an old farmhouse that has been added on to over the years which makes for long windy hallways upstairs and lots of hidden staircases. We loved it. Do note...

« Overall stay was poor due to the following:1\. This home has not been maintained. When we first arrived the kitchen had ant and roach traps all over the kitchen counters. Ended up seeing a live roach later that evening(I have pics). 2\. The house had not been freshly cleaned but looked like it had been sitting so the tables were dirty and counter tops, I had to spray and reclean the surfaces. 3.The recreational area with the ping pong table, no heat and the TV was not working properly.
