« I had booked my room several months in advance, but when I asked the hotel if it was possible to move my stay to the following night, they refused because I hadn’t chosen a flexible or refundable rate. A small gesture of goodwill would have been appreciated, but apparently that’s not part of the hotel’s policy.
Regarding the room, it unfortunately didn’t smell good, there were stains on the walls, and everything felt quite old. We even had to disinfect the bathroom ourselves, as we didn’t...

« The Comfort Inn & Suites Pottstown Eastern Gateway was, overall, on the high side of “okay” for my stay. The basic necessities were acceptable, the bed was clean and comfortable enough to sleep in, and the essential utilities in the room worked properly.
However, there were some noticeable cleanliness issues. The elevators were in need of cleaning, and the tabletops and other furniture surfaces in the room had visible residue and spotting that appeared to be from surfaces not being wiped down...

« The essentials for a night's stay were good. The bedding, linens, towels, etc. were spotless, and housekeeping did their job well. The AC, hot water, WiFi, TV, fridge, and microwave were all in great condition. The furniture and building don't hide their age well, and the property could use some tender loving care. I may or may not use this facility again. I feel the stay fits the adage, "you get what you pay for," and you get good value here. »
