Walked about 15 min to wine tram and there were plenty of restaurants around (Allora had great Italian food!) Breakfast was wonderful, staff was so friendly! "Absolutely amazing safaris. Highly recommend staying and doing at least the horse riding to get up close to the giraffes. Saw all the animals multiple times, cant complain about how close and often you see the animals. Each safari was unique and special. Also seeing the elephants and baboons outside our lodge on a morning was amazing. Lots to do and keep you busy between. Food, views, service, knowledge, wildlife were second to none. "Wow what a great location and view from our pool view room. From our courteous welcome, tour of facilities to breakfast and departure everything was great and it’s clear a tight ship is run. The minibar is well stocked . Water is available for a fee. Breakfast is more than adequate with a choice of yogurts fruits pastries and cooked items. Although walkable, in the heat we would recommend using Uber to Franschoek. It is better value than the local taxis. Relax by the pool, enjoy the Mountain View in the evening. Enjoy a glass of wine! As a side not , although Expedia may take Amex, the guesthouse does not and you will need to use Visa or MCard"

"Warm welcome. Beautifully decorated room with all the necessary features. Very comfortable bed and flexible bathroom (small point- water pressure in the bath could be better). The plunge pool was relaxing with enough chezlongue for all guests. Food was very good with an interesting contrast between Epice and Protege. Would highly recommend for a relaxing breqk or longer holiday. We already considering when we can go back."
