Check in clerk was rude. We asked about breakfast and her answer was that since the room rate didn't include it we could show up but they might or might not let us buy breakfast. This in an area where there wasn't a reasonable outside alternative. At the least she could have been polite in answering. When we asked where our room was she said go outside and around the back. Turned out it was up a few flights of stairs with no lift. Not so easy with luggage. No warning of this on the website and as older folks this proved quite challenging. My sense was that the property figures they'll get the tourist business no matter what and just doesn't care

Pretty basic in every regard. Room was very small as was bathroom. Very poor ventilation in room and extremely uncomfortable double bed. For two twins if you have the option, breakfast was decent and the hotel is convenient to the high Street for restaurants and nightlife. We would look around a little more for another hotel next time.

A warm welcome to both us and our small dog awaited us, the rooms are well appointed, clean and comfortable. It was a very short walk to shops, bars and restaurants and the water front. Breakfast was huge and delicious. Thank you for a lovely stay
