Fort Rodd Hill National Historic Park Tours and Activities

The property is old. When we took a taxi there are driver said “oo this property is not good”. As we went in the lobby it was evident that it was old, breakfast included is a joke. It is basically just coffee and yoghurt. That wasn’t a big deal for us. But we sat on the sofa while waiting and it smelled like dead rat. The washroom in the lobby was dirty storage room. Very shady. The room itself was over and clean. Sheets and towels were clean but the door had some debris. All in all room was okay. We slept well. The staff was very nice and helpful. If you are going to Cowichan it is not convenient, unless you have a car. As taxi service is terrible in Duncan and cowichan. The hotel is old and very poorly maintained, it was extremely dirty. It’s on the owners though as the staff seemed very nice and helpful.

The hotel was absolutely lovely. We got a free upgrade to an amazing suite. Room service workers were so nice and patient. The front desk was polite and helpful. The dishwasher doesn't work that well but that's barely a complaint.
