ONE VERY SMALL ELECTRIC FIREPLACE FOR A LARGE 2-BEDROOM ROOM - ON THE CALIFORNIA COAST SO VERY COLD AND SHEETS FELT DAMP. SPOKE TO FRONT DESK ABOUT HEATING AND THEY SAID "USE THE LITTLE HEATER". INSUFFICENT TO WARM ROOMS. WE DID NOT STAY BUT LEFT IMMEDIATELY.

The walkway with the trail to the cliffs made for amazing views. Having coffee on my patio with the ocean view made for the perfect start to each day. Very nice overall.

I was in a room that had just had new carpet put in that gave off a terrible fumes that required me to crack the door. In addition to that there was construction work going on in the room next door throughout my stay. While I’m glad they are updating the property my stay was not as enjoyable as it usually is.

The lodge has a unique view and beautiful sunset experience from your own room and balcony. The bike trail/walk path along the ocean is perfectly located in front of the lodge. The room decor is interesting and grandiose. Very spacious room - it feels like a suite.

Very nice for the first time staying at the Ocean View Lodge. It was quiet and we felt safe there, had no worries. It had a beautiful view! The room was so spacious for the 2 of us and very clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

Rooms have no heat other than a small,noisy inefficient electric fireplace. It took over two hours to bring the room temp up to normal. I complained to the office and they provided a small 1000 watt. personal heater. We had to leave both on continually overnight to stay warm. The room is designed for people under 5 ft tall. The bed has no frame and sits on the floor consequently the bedding is in contact with the floor. The bathroom sink height is just above my knee level. I had to stoop to use the mirror or sink. For $140. I should have slept in the car.

Very nice and quit place to stay on the coast and walk right out to the ocean. Rooms are really clean my only complaint was the pillows are to big and hard witch some people probably like. Very nice stay overall

Beautiful views of the ocean from our room. Room was spacious and very comfortable. The room was a little dated, but it does appear that they are in the process of doing some renovations, and we didn't experience any noise or disturbance during our stay. There wasn't any housekeeping during our stay, but since our stay was only a couple days this wasn't really an issue. Staff at front desk were friendly and courteous.

Seems to be under new management/ownership, they are upgrading rooms, with the addition of solar. No more gas fire place which we sorely missed, but the wall heater unit worked fine. I did not like how the new foot boards on bed stuck out, we kept hitting our knees on them walking by. One cup coffee maker our great, but the one in our room would not make a full cup (#31); probably needs descaling. Clean, quiet room with plenty surf to watch and salt air to breathe in!

We looove this hotel! Husband and I stayed 3 nights. Super and I mean SUPER clean room - no dust, no stray hairs, no speck of sand or dust anywhere, clean carpets, spotless everything! The windows were PERFECTLY clean (not one fingerprint or streak!) - this was awesome because the view IS the kicker here!! We def noticed that Adriana in housekeeping and maintenance staff really take pride in their work and it shows, we tipped Adriana accordingly. Bed was comfy, nice big tv - although you might not need it with that VIEW! For us, the old school feel was awesome. Coffee selection and liquid creamer (I hate the powdered stuff) in the room was great - also in the room: actual ceramic coffee mugs, wine glasses and wine key. Fridge, microwave. The special touches: fanned TP, tissue and towels. The adirondack chairs on the back porch have a cup holder with a slit for your coffee mug handle - it’s definitely THE spot to enjoy your morning coffee! Thank you Mo and the entire staff, we had a great time and WILL be back!!

I was disappointed in the fact that the bed was a box spring with a thin cushion on top. They don’t have housekeeping service. The porch light was out. We called to the front desk and reported it and no one came and fixed it.
