Let’s be honest, Luxury in Italy doesn’t necessarily mean the same as it does in the US. This is a top price hotel near the airport but the room is small (the bathroom by scale is large). Lots of upcharges and not many options for food or drinks. Breakfast was expensive but a nice buffet. The thing everyone complains about regarding everyone in white robes was true (and cultish!). There are lot’s of non-hotel guests on the property to use the spas. We didn’t use the spas as we were only staying to fly out the next day. Getting there from airport is onerous - a 25 Euro taxi (1.8 mile trip) or an 8 Euro shuttle (per person), but no help in arranging. If you call the hotel they’ll make you call the shuttle yourself from the airport (and yet they can make the return reservation for you).
I think what separates true luxury is “service” and this place does not bend over backwards for guests. Staff seems small and not concerned with the “details” that make true luxury. 4-star at best.

"Super clean, great location, large rooms, and bathroom. Very clean. most of the front desk was very nice and helpful. They only supplied one bottle of water per guest for the entire stay, which is ridiculous. A bottle of water cost about $.25 and I felt that there should’ve been a fresh one in the ..."
