Cute place in the Forest Hills
We really enjoyed our stay. The owners were very quick to respond to any questions we had. It does say there is 3 bedrooms however there are only 2 with one bedroom having 2 beds in the room. It was fine for us as we only had 2 couples but if you need the third bedroom it might be an issue. There was plenty of kitchen supplies and even though we didn't bring a dog there was supplies for a dog around the house.

Hi Stephanie, Glad you enjoyed your stay. The home is clearly listed as a two bedroom and we provide a 3D tour and a floorpan. Sorry there was any confusion. We do sleep 6 but it is explained there is a blow up queen bed in the living room. We put that day bed in primarily for kids in the master. Best, Brett

Unique home with hot tub nestled in redwoods
We enjoyed our stay. Kitchen was well stocked The living area with fireplace was comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub, and the home is conveniently located close to many wineries. Host was easy to communicate with.

Hidden gem
My family and I had a lovely stay and would definitely be coming back! The house was clean and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the outdoor deck among the redwood trees. We ran into an unexpected problem with the electricity from the weather, and Bhrett was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend this hidden gem among the redwood trees!

Great view felt like a treehouse
The home was comfortable. Master room is great second bedroom is very tight. Both beds were very comfortable and I have a bad back. Since there is no normal heat, it's heated by the fireplace as well as individual room heaters it's really important to get those going hours before your wanting to relax or you will freeze if it's cold. We arrived super late so first night was unbearably cold. Rest of stay was very comfortable once we were able to get a handle on the heat. Hot tub was great and very private. We saw a deer and her baby out the back one of the days so that was cool. Kitchen was great, has a drip coffee maker and filters at the home.

Felt like home - 5 stars
We spent Christmas with our daughter and her boy friend. This house was perfect for us. The house has been well loved, had everything we needed, and really grew (well) on us. You can tell the owners know how to take care of a house and how to have fun. The location was perfect for wine tasting and amazing hiking. The house is located up a mountain side and the neighborhood is strewn with cars and garbage cans all out on the street which is a little beat up. We arrived after dark and were a bit skeptical but in the light of day, it was only because the terrain is so vertical. The houses in the neighborhood are all well taken care of and it was very quiet, sitting in the hot tub, looking up at the redwoods, drinking fabulous wines, and getting to know a great young couple. Would come back in a minute.

Perfect weekend.
Stayed 3 nights at the property. The house was very clean, easy to find, easy check-in, and great communication with host. Property had all the amenities we wanted and a gas fireplace that worked wonders during a cold rainy weekend. Property also felt secluded from neighbors. Would highly recommend property and host.

Anniversary Weekend
Perfect location to relax and enjoy one another’s company, and close enough to nature and winery’s to get out for a few hours. And yes as described, you can cook a feast. We cooked two meals a day and I like to prepare a lot, was able to Prepare everything from scratch and the only thing I ever longed for was a meat thermometer ;-) Deck and view is PRIVATE and the spa and fire pit are perfectly enjoyable. I even had time to snag a nap in the Hammock! Beds are super comfortable and even when it was cold at night the space heater + fireplace fully warmed the house. 10/10 stay.

Tranquil place
The pictures had me thinking there were no other houses around which is not the case, but it still felt like it was in the woods. Seemed like lots of rules for the house which tends to make me less relaxed but the place really invites a calm. Clean house, well furnished and stocked. Cozy!!

Nice quiet retreat after a day of wine tasting
We enjoyed our stay very much. The hacienda was very clean, quiet, and had everything we needed. An evening in the hot tub after a day at wineries was great! The location is very convenient for numerous wineries, restaurants and bars. Make sure you get there before dark on your first night so you can get the lay of the land.

Such a lovely cabin nestled in the redwoods. My husband and I and his brother and wife loved our peaceful stay here over the weekend. The communication with the owner was the best experience that i have ever had with a rental. So kind and very prompt to reply. I appreciate that so much. Would love to come back again. Location is great for visiting great wineries and restaurants in the area.

Woodsy Gem
Hanging out in a redwood grove on a large deck with hammocks, seating, and a hot tub? It doesn't get much better. The place was a delight. Our host was wonderful too. One of the members of our party left a valuable behind and they reached out to us about it right away. I highly recommend staying here. You won't be disappointed.

Redwood Retreat!
Great deck with redwoods. Beautiful place to relax, can’t wait to go back. Kitchen is well stocked to cook anything and there’s a nice grill on the deck. I think I want a hot tub now!

Magical and Relaxing
My husband and I had an absolutely amazing time at the cabin. It is so beautiful and relaxing. They built the deck around the redwoods! The cabin is cozy, welcoming and fully stocked. It is quite close to amazing restaurants even though you feel you are very far away. Our dog had so much fun being able to be with us outside on the deck and in the yard. She was soooo happy! There was a small issue at the house and Brett was able to get somebody to come out on a Sunday, over the July 4th holiday weekend to fix it! Amazing! The response and fix was so fast we were blown away! 5 stars all the way around and we will absolutely be back!

First impression from the gate, how sweet and quaint, rustic wood smell hits you once through the door. Smaller than the pictures, cameras do that. Kitchen was large, fairly clean. Disappointing that I couldn’t use the coffee maker due to the white buildup on the lid. I had tea instead, nice bathrooms. Deck was cool, we did need to literally scrape off stuff from the glass table top, and the floor of the deck was very strewn with tree debris. It was a windy day but seemed like it hadn’t been swept in a while. Hammocks were too dirty to try. But we had nice evenings, lit the fire, hot tub could’ve used a scrub but we enjoyed it none the less, just overall felt it was too expensive for what it was. The reviews seemed very positive and I’m sad that mine isn’t the best, when you pay that much, I feel a little more is expected.

Great Location and Amenities!
What a delightful get away! Hacienda has an upscale rustic feel, just right for our hiking vacation. It is even nicer than the online photos show. The hot tub made the perfect ending to a day of hiking and good company. Many local restaurants and lots of places to hike. The location is convenient to mountains with redwoods, ocean and wine tasting. Brett responded immediately to our pre-visit questions. Lots of other local activities including a fun parade in Forestville and live music overlooking the Pacific Ocean. I recommend checking out the local activities and music in advance so you are prepared to enjoy all of it. Or you might want to just stay at Hacienda to enjoy a relaxing vacation. Our family commented that this was one of the nicest vacation homes they had ever had on vacation. I would agree. We will definitely return for another stay in the future.

Hola folks... it was a little hard to find because of the vehicle GPS will put you close but not close enough. We were able to make contact with the owner and got us there. We relax but just a little problem. The barking dog close by early in the morning and afternoon. This dog wants everyone to hear them. It was hard to locate because where we were located. And then a few folks working on the their projects which came loud noise and beautiful music. So between the barking dog and construction not so peaceful. If you (the owner) have not stayed here in awhile maybe you will hear what I am talking about. Thank you again. Tony

Brett's place was a beautiful home base for a weekend with my partner, my dad, and his wife. Perfect size for two couples. Favorite aspects: Awesome deck with hot tub, grill, comfy chairs, and huge redwoods. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms clean and updated. Overall setting is chill and relaxed. Only a few minute walk up the hill from the river, and an easy drive to Sonoma wineries. Overall, exactly as described in the listing. Would happily return for a future trip!

We had a wonderful stay at this house in the Redwoods. Great communication from the owners. The location is perfect to explore areas in the Russian River area. We loved the awesome deck and hot tub. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need. The beds were comfy and there were plenty of blankets. Overall we really enjoyed staying here.

Quiet cabin centrally located in a forested area in the beautiful Sonoma wine country. Minor issue with the hot tub but the owner responded quickly to help address the problem. A gorgeous, cozy retreat
Sometimes you see a nice-looking listing and then you go and the house leaves something to be desired... not so with this redwood retreat! It's absolutely beautiful, with an amazing deck and many windows looking out onto redwoods. It's well-equipped, from the kitchen to the bedrooms to the comfy living room with the fireplace. A perfect place to relax for the weekend. Communication was clear, and I have already shared this listing with my family so I can return in the future!

Fabulous Cabin Away From It All!
This cabin was a dream come true for our family vacation! We enjoyed 5 days of serene beauty, both during a crazy rain storm, and during beautiful blue skies and sunshine. Everything was exactly as described and better! The only thing we had to learn the hard way to turn on the convection for the oven - without convection turned on, it didn't maintain the appropriate temp. Once we turned on convection it was fine. The views were amazing and the wet soil, redwoods and pines gave an aroma I wish we could bottle. We felt a million miles away from it all, but were only 2 1/2 hours from home. Thank you, Brett, for an amazing week of family memories!

The perfect relaxing getaway
This place is stunning! It is nestled right in the redwoods in a sleepy little town away from bustling tourists. The pictures don't do this place justice! It also happens to the the most well-stocked VRBO I have ever stayed in. Everything was high quality and there was every kitchen utensil & gadget you could ever ask for. If you stay here, make sure to turn off all the house lights and sit in the hot tub at night. It was magical stargazing through the canopy of redwoods without any nearby light pollution. The beds were the comfiest I have ever slept in, and reading by the fireplace was the most perfect experience for some of the rainy days we had during our visit. I cannot possibly overstate my recommendation of this place!

Perfect Cabin!
We loved our stay, almost felt like a treehouse! The property had everything we would need and a fully stocked kitchen. The indoor fireplace was very cozy to sit by and we could not stop appreciating the trees and surrounding greenery. Will definitely come back if we're in the area!

Clean, pretty, comfortable, pet-friendly home in the redwoods. We enjoyed our stay despite unexpected cold, rainy weather. There was internet service & a working landline, but cell phone service is absent or spotty in the locality. The parking area can be hard to find - arrive during daylight!

A wonderful stay in the redwoods
A girlfriend and I went to your lovely home in order to leave the city and its stresses behind. It was the perfect place to do so! Your home is warm and welcoming, the bedrooms were wonderful nests and the living spaces indoors and out welcomed us as a refuge to relax and recharge. We journeyed to Armstrong Redwood Park nearby which is a magical place to walk and meander. Another day took us to Jenner with its beaches and ocean and fresh ocean smells and air. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to returning again!

Excellent Family Weekend in Forestville
The cabin is just lovely, charming and comfortable. We have 3 dogs in our family, who were as happy as we were. Blankets and towels were left for them, so the furniture stayed clean. The kitchen is well stocked, had we wanted to cook. There were many outstanding restaurants in the for meals; with a mix from fun and cheap to fancy but pricey. Great options for hiking. We were all very glad to be there.
