A cosy studio annexe set within the historic grounds of Wheelwrights Post, just outside the charming town of Fordingbridge. Designed with couples in mind, this compact yet characterful hideaway blends rustic charm with modern comforts – a peaceful retreat right opposite the New Forest National Park.  
  
Tucked beside the owners\` heritage home, the property sits on what was once a bustling wheelwright\`s workshop, bakery, and post office in the 1830s. While modest in size, the studio is stylishly furnished and thoughtfully arranged for a restful stay. Shared lawned gardens, bike storage, and a private sitting-out area add to the charm.

With its cosy layout and charming history, The Old Post Office is the perfect base for couples. Inside, there’s a comfortable standard double bed, Freeview TV, and a small but well-equipped kitchen with an electric cooker, ceramic hob, microwave, and fridge. The shower room includes a cubicle shower and WC.  
  
Central heating and Wi-Fi are included, along with bed linen, towels, and a thoughtful welcome pack. Step outside to your own sitting area or enjoy the expansive shared lawn – ideal for morning coffee or unwinding after a day exploring the forest.  
  
Please note: the property is located next to a main road, so you may hear some traffic noise – though this is rarely an issue for guests.

Location  
Situated between Salisbury and Ringwood, the property enjoys a prime spot for exploring the New Forest and beyond. The park is just across the road, offering endless walking and cycling routes through unspoilt landscapes.  
  
Nearby Fordingbridge (1 mile) is home to cafés, shops, and riverside strolls along the Avon. For thrill-seekers, Moors Valley Country Park and the New Forest Water Park are close by. Day trips to Stonehenge, the south coast, and the cathedral cities of Salisbury and Winchester are easily doable by car.  
  
A local pub and shop are within a mile, and a restaurant is just 400 yards away.
