Every interaction was warm, attentive, and welcoming, creating a level of service that elevates the entire experience. The hotel embraces its history, offering classic charm while still providing thoughtful modern comforts. While I did not dine at the Michelin-starred restaurant, having that level of dining available on-site is a great feature for guests who want that experience without leaving the hotel. The bar is excellent and was a highlight of the stay. The bartenders were engaging, skilled, and clearly take pride in what they do. The rooms are well-appointed with all the expected amenities—coffee, tea, robes, and a full range of bath essentials—making for a comfortable stay. The only drawback was a significant issue on the first night: there was no hot water, and the shower was freezing. After a long day of travel, this was not a great way to start the stay. Overall, Hôtel d’Europe delivers on service, location, and atmosphere, with one notable issue that impacted the first impression." Not only was there a very unpleasant stench of sewer coming from the shower drain, but there was also mold throughout the bathroom, which is clearly a health hazard. The only positive aspects were the spacious room and the free parking. I strongly recommend staying away from this place until it has been fully renovated. In its current condition, it is simply not worth the money."
