Wonderful experience
Wonderful experience. Would definitely come back again. Although, there was no one at the property, all questions were promptly answered on WhatsApp. Location is absolutely perfect for families, just 2 stops from the Unita. Recommendations for Pizzeria, Restaurants etc were spot on. Rooms were very quiet and cleaned thoroughly every single day. Access to kitchen made the stay even better. Definitely recommend.

The breakfast was really good with a lot of different food, there was yogurt and fruit, cereal, milk, orange juice, croissants, eggs, toast cheese. The place was spotless and right next to the train. We walk to the heart of Florence, which was right around the corner. The host was professional and friendly. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet in the building. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast. The room with spacious and very very clean.

Location was perfect. Right next to the public transport and train station. Everything was really clean, host was very kind. Breakfast is good. Only small problem was our rooms air conditioning was a little weak there was a fan to help but did not cut it in the heat wave season. But any other time it is probably the best b&b experience in Firenze

Excellent stay! Our host was great and accommodating. Location is close all the landmarks and just a short 10 minutes walk to the station. Will definitely stay here if we’re back again in Firenze.

It was close to the train station. Ellena was an awesome host. When we arrived she oriented us to the local area, the easiest ways to get to all of the popular attractions, and recommended a couple of local restaurants, as well as offered assistance in making any reservations for attractions or restaurants.

Nice hotel close to the train station
We had a pleasant stay in Antica posta B&B. We were asked about our arrival time and Elena was there waiting there for us to check us in. It can be challenging to find the place if you don't have a GPS, but it's only 10 min walk to the train station, convenient for us as our main mode of travel was train. The staff was very friendly and we were made to feel at home. The breakfast was average. Overall this is an inexpensive and convenient place to stay in Florence.

Nice one night stay
We loved our stay our hostesses were sweet and very informative!!!! We only stayed one night since that was all that was on our agenda for Florence but we wish all of our stays would be like this. If we ever go back to Florence we will stay here. Breakfast was delicious very filling. Only downside is that their is construction going on right in front of hotel right now but that isn’t a problem for us at all.

Walkable distance to train station
Extremely friendly staff which made the stay enjoyable. The room was very clean and everyday a light breakfast was brought to your room. This place might be hard to find at first since it is in a building that requires you to be buzzed in. It is located right around a corner. They have a small sign on the wall. Great value for the location. Everywhere we went was within 30 min walk. I believe there were only 5 rooms in this place so book quick! I will definitely come back here again. Highly recommend!

Just a building with some rooms at the first floor
To find the place was traumatic. Not a single sign of the Hotel on the outside or street. No change of towel. Room unconfortable warm..Air conditioner set up to a regulated temperature which we could not change. At some time it was hot. I comments about this but with no actions. Breakfast was dissapointed.

Cosy hotel
We enjoyed our stort stay here. It was in a relatively convenient location, however at the time went there was a lot of road works in the surrounding streets (which can't be helped but made getting there a little more challenging). The room and hotel corridor area was lovely, nice and cosy. We would stay here again.

Great hotel with friendly staff.
The hotel was very clean, had everything we needed. It was close to the train station and walking distance to the major attractions. Staff were most accommodating and gave us tips on the best places to go and local insight. Wi-Fi was free and reliable. The bed was old-fashioned - lovely. We enjoyed Florence, hired a bike and went riding to all sorts of places, we'd not have otherwise gone. The food is amazing - Central Food Market, especially. Amazing street markets - leather, clothing, etc. Great basilicas, architecture and piazzas.

Basic but ok
The B&B itself is nice, well looked after and provides the basic needed, its also very close to the centre town literally 10 minutes walking distance. I think the breakfast needs improvement, very very little offered and also I felt unsafe at night as the receptionist works only day time until 12pm, thereafter if you need anything there's a number to call. Every night though, late at night, people were constantly buzzing which was annoying and also scared me as there was no one to deal with whoever that was. Overall though it was an enjoyable stay.

Good clean place to stay
Very close to main train station but a bit out of the way for most touristy places. Not many places to eat nearby 15/20 minute walk to find food. Breakfast served in room. Note this isn't a family run B&B but a business so don't expect much interaction or help guidance on Florence.

The rating is given solely for my experience with my booking. The hotel told me that by mistake they have overbooking and cannot offer me a room. They asked me to accept an alternative from another hotel. At first I refuse to accept this alternative. I sent emails without any reply. Feeling helpless. The hotel didn't confirm my offer until the last minute. As a solo traveler, female, arrive late, I have no choice but to accept. A very bad exerience. Although I found the alternative hotel is not bad actually.

Easy 20 min bus ride into city of Venice and you can conveniently buy transit tickets from hotel. Breakfast was fair, hotel staff very friendly and explained all pertiant info very clearly. It is actually in marghera not mestre so a little difficult to find from airport if using public transit. Supermarket around the corner for all your needs

good bang for your buck
we stayed here looking for a clean, well located place to basically leave our bags and be able to sleep at night without having to share a bathroom or room. the room was actually very nice and large, four post bed with wrap around decorative curtains, the only problem is that if you arrive non office hours you have to call a cell fir somebody to come and open.... pretty hard if you are a tourist with no cell phone

We never got to stay at antica posta - they moved us to another bnb, it was ok. Felt more like a hostel though with two single mattresses on a double frame, basic bathroom. Breakfast was pre packaged multipack croissants and pot of jam or nutella, serve yourself style. The staff were mostly friendly and helpful, but the bnb was quite a walk out the way of everything but mildly convenient for the station.

Too hands off for a B&B, but generally comfortable
When I think of a B&B, I think of a place where the owner actually lives and cares for the comfort of the guests. However, the owners of Antica Posta are very hands off. They send you an email asking for your arrival time, show up to let you in, and then you never see them again. A woman comes in the morning to prepare breakfast, but after she leaves, there's no one until the next morning. For emergencies you can call a cell, but for smaller issues, you have to report them in the morning and then get the resolution the next morning. That's too slow for simple issues (e.g. advice about something in the city, making some arrangements), which normally would be something you could solve in just minutes. It seemed a little misleading to call this a B&B. The hotel is a short walk north of the train station and old town. It's at a very busy intersection, yet the soundproofing on the windows is excellent so you'd never know it. The soundproofing between rooms, however, is minimal. We came home late one night and were being rather quiet, but I bumped the nightstand by accident. Our neighbor rapped the wall angrily. The following night we couldn't sleep because of a regular-volume conversation in another room that went past midnight. Good AC and spacious room and bathroom. By default the breakfast is the typically sweet Italian one, but you can ask for hard-boiled eggs or yogurt. A lot of good things and a few bad. We'll keep it as a reasonable backup next time.

This place is well maintained B&B. Clean, organized and good worth for your money. Vesna is very nice and helpful, she brought us the breakfast at 8AM to the room and also helped us with the directions.

Amazing service, great room & breakfast!
We had the most fabulous time at Antica Posta. It was a last minute booking and we showed up 30 minutes after we had booked the room. We were met by the kindest, most helpful lady. Our room obviously wasn't ready yet, as it was early in the morning, but she let us leave our bags, gave us keys to the building, gave us a map and explained EVERYTHING!! Places to eat, sites to see, a good route to take to see things in order, what times of the day thing were open, transportation etc. She took our breakfast order for the next morning, let us use the washroom and so on. When we arrived back to the hotel that night, we were pleasantly surprised. The room was gorgeous, very unique, clean, A/C and wifi worked perfectly. We had a kettle, blow dryer, basically everything we needed. The next morning we got delivered a fantastic breakfast in bed, with amazing cappuccino. When we checked out, the super nice lady (who I wish I knew her name) let us keep our bags there for the day! This was such as added bonus as we had so many sites to see and didn't want to lug them around. I can't say enough good things about our stay at Anitica Posta, we would go back in a heartbeat.

The Accommodation was in convenient location near to SMN station. The Hotel room is spacious and as expected. But the sleep quality is not so good as there were mosquitoes in room and never warned beforehand of the same. My kid got a bite on his cheek. They could have informed about the alternatives if not fumigated properly.

We reserved online which was confirmed. When we arrived, the hotel said the credit card did not go through and they did not reserve a room for us. It also said it was close to the airport, and it was in town with street parking. The information on-line was not helpful to us. Also they said they tried to call us, but there was no record of any calls on our phone. We were disappointed in the connections with this hotel.

If you have lots of suitcases or your luggage is heavy, you'll need to take a cab because we walked well over 25 minutes & the hotel isn't very close. We were greeted by Vesna who was very helpful and gave us lots of tips & info on Florence. The wifi didn't work & they didn't do much to fix it either - just said 'ooops, sorry.' We had a room for 3 & my bed was very springy & uncomfortable. The other two are fine but I struggled with the mattress as well as the pillow. The breakfast in bed was horrible. You really do get what you pay for. We were asked what we wanted as soon as we arrived at the hotel & it was the last thing on our minds considering we walked in the heat with heavy suitcases for 25 mins. Vesna was rushed & asked what we wanted but didn't explain really how things worked. We told her 8am would be fine for breakfast & it was delivered at 8.30am the following day. We told her we all wanted eggs along with the yogurt, juice & croissants. We were given 1 boiled egg, 3 croissants, 1 yogurt & cordial which was meant to be juice?? We ate the croissants & left everything else. It was terrible. I would recommend this if you're on a budget or if you don't care about certain things like wifi & breakfast. The room is spacious & ensuite was clean. Nice but not amazing.

Dear guest, really, we are only 10 minutes walk from the train station, not 25 as you wrote. We serve breakfast in the room, because we are not a hotel. For us it is important to know what you want for breakfast upon your arrival. For example, if you want a fat-free yogurt, we should have time to buy it, because it is a special request... But, thank you for your remark about breakfast. We are trying to improve it, giving fresh croissans, yougurt, fruit, ham and cheese that not all the bed and breakfasts do... Come and visit us again!

A late arrival after 10pm the reception we received was excellent.after an earlier e mail saying that 7pm was the closing time.Perhaps the room breakfast could have been better with a pot of tea and a full cup of coffee together with proper toast.The staff could not have been more helpful when my wallet and visa card were stolen in Florence the concern they had was overwhelling and were able to contact the necessary agencies to cancel and prevent fraud.I would recommend the establishment with its close proximity to Florence ie 10minute walk to the centre/

Antica Posta B&B is just in front of the tramway stop Belfiore: 5 minutes from the train station Santa Maria Novella. It is well indicated and everybody comes from all the world withouth any problem.
