Glacier Park/Essex Carriage House
25 miles-East or West Glacier National Park
10/10 Excellent
"It is a garage converted into a nice living space. There is a bathroom with laundry and a bed room downstairs. The bed a pillows were great to sleep on. Upstairs you have a kitche, another bathroom, a table, and a bunch of couches that you can sit on to watch TV or enjoy the view from large windows. The top does get warmer then the bottom, but the bottom stays nice a cool, so in the summer time it still is pleasant enough to sleep. Wifi is a bit a slow, but that is no big problem. Owners do live on the property, but are very nice and informative (and do not bother you at all).Great location to go between west glacier and east glacier. "
"This was very cozy and an excellent vacation stay. The trains were barely noticeable to us. We had hiked from Walton Ranger station. There are also plenty of hikes in the National forest. The kitchen had all the essentials, but no dishwasher."
Two Medicine Suite, 400 sqft fully appointed studio suite. Comfort at its best.
10/10 Excellent
"We first stayed at Lone Elk Lodge 10 years ago. We had such a pleasant experience then that when we decided to return to Glacier National Park this summer, Lone Elk Lodge was our first search. We spent 4 nights here and it was exactly what we expected! Leslie, Carl, and family have a beautiful lodge that they have lovingly cared for and maintained over the years. Since our family grew, we stayed in two units this year-the Sinopah and Two Medicine. Both exceeded our expectations and provided a home away from home. Leslie, Carl, and family are so kind and welcoming! We hope to stay with them again in the future! "
East Side of Glacier Park is our back yard!! Have a look.

"Chuck and Vickie were our hosts, they were great—there were fresh brownies on the counter when we arrived! They came over after we got in and visited with us, talked about the place and even shared how to use bear spray. He had a few bear sprays there at the house for us to use. There were 7 adults and we had plenty of room and ample seating. On our last night Chuck and Vickie stopped over with some fresh huckleberries for us to try. We really enjoyed our time! "
"The cabins were really cute and cozy. The hosts (Bill, Diana, Dusty, and Indy) were all so welcoming and helpful. We opted for the horseback ride on our last day and Bill, John and Dan were amazing! They made sure we were all safe and took frequent breaks ensuring safety for the horses as well. They served a delicious family style homemade breakfast each morning. They even had a binder in each cabin with lots of helpful info about the area and glacier national park. To top it all off, we got to love on their doggies, Dixie and Diesel, after breakfast each morning and while they were outside!"
