Stayed here as a couple but this place would also be great for a solo backpacker. I’d describe it as being more like a private room in a hostel rather than a traditional guesthouse with host on site. The location is right by the centre of Faro, the shopping streets are only a couple of minutes walk away. The Guesthouse has a lovely roof terrace and upper room where you can sits and eat your food, and there is a kitchen with a microwave, kettle, toaster, etc where you can prepare something. I did find that it was a bit noisy outside on the street, as you are right by the bars, so you might want to bring some earplugs. The room was fine, shared bathrooms but it was right next to the room. Self check-in was super easy and although it is a lively bar area it felt very safe and the windows kept the noise down brilliantly. Last week I was in £200 per night London hotel....this guest house trumps it in every way. Check in was easy via email, location can't be better. Shared bathroom was spotlessly clean and should not put people off.
