Our room was very cozy and comfortable, and we enjoyed views of the San Juan River immediately outside our large and cheerfully bright windows. There were several chairs outside to relax & enjoy the view ? but today the weather was rainy & cold! Breakfasts were tasty, delicious and healthy! ? Diana is quite health-conscious, so we had wholesome crepes with raspberries one day, and blackberry-chocolate-filled muffins and fresh fruits next morning. Hosts Diana & David were wonderfully gracious throughout our stay, and made sure our accommodations were just right. David is especially knowledgeable about the area, including its history, industry and economics ? a fascinating conversationalist. Definitely an enjoyable and relaxing experience, and highly recommended. Our room was very attractive and beautiful. Available in the room was a small fridge and microwave. Linings need to be updated to a better quality my personal preference. Thicker, soft towels and higher end sheets. Our bed was old and needs to be updated. But everything was clean. Breakfast was 1 waffle with peach and blue berry syrup and sliced apple pieces. To be honest is was not very good, and it had no flavor. I think if you want to serve all natural foods is great but you do not have to sacrifice flavor. Use honey for sweetness or another alternative. Ambrose apples also have a ton of flavor. The room was great, the views were beautiful and the owners extremely friendly and full of concern for our comfort. David had so much valuable information to share regarding sites to see and best routes to get there. Diana cooked a delicious breakfast dish that started our day of sightseeing off just right! There is so much to see in their corner of the world I am sure we will be back many times. The rooms are made of repurposed wood, and the construction is distinctive without being eccentric. Go! While directions could have told us to use the fire station drive to enter the B&B site more easily, once we got there this hotel is excellent. Small, two rooms along the river. Very very quiet. Excellent hosts and breakfast. Clean as a whistle and lovely room. We have been recommending this hotel to friends from the day we reluctantly had to leave. If we are back in the area we will definitely be staying again.
