Fitzroy Island Resort

"We had a great Island room with a nice view over the ocean. Lots to do with snorkeling to view the spectacular coral reefs, a great hike to the island summit with extensive views and chilling out on the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our three day visit."
Cairns Plaza Hotel

"We absolutely loved our stay at the Plaza Hotel in Cairns! The location was fantastic — Muddies was right across the street and had really good food, and we were within easy walking distance of just about everything. We had a beautiful water view from our balcony, and one of our favorite surprises was being able to watch the flying foxes come in every evening — there were thousands of them! It was such a unique experience and something we looked forward to each night. The building also has a very nice laundry room, which was extremely convenient for travelers. The pier where you catch the boats to the Outer Reef is about a 15-minute walk away, making it easy to get out for reef excursions. Overall, we loved the location, the views, the convenience, and the little extras that made our stay special. We would definitely stay here again when we return to Cairns!"

"My wife and I enjoyed a lagoon view room which was clean, spacious and very comfortable with a glorious view across the lagoon. The breakfasts offered plenty of choices including Chef cooked meals. The gardens are huge with beautiful tropical shrubs and trees and includes a waterfall cascading into an attractive lagoon. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Sheraton for anyone looking for a very relaxing holiday in an outstanding hotel in Port Douglas."

"Great stay overall. The only issue I had was that at check-in time I was told that I will only be charged for breakfast if I have it. However at check-out I was told I was being charged for 3 breakfasts per the entries by their restaurant staff. I was very surprised as I only had 1 breakfast, the front desk person rectified it, but it was disappointing to know that the charges were put in despite confirmation otherwise."

"The view from our room was wonderful, though it was a fair walk to the main restaurant hub. It's a shame the property doesn't have a restaurant of its own operating, but there's one nearby. It looks like the place is being freshened up a bit, which is good. It has great potential. The air con in our room was a bit hit and miss, but luckily the weather was lovely. We enjoyed our stay here."
