"Von den 4 Unterkünften, die wir in diesem Urlaub auf den Azoren hatten, ist dies die Einzige, die wir nicht empfehlen können. Als wir ankamen (Anfang Mai) waren die Temperaturen zwischen 11 und 17 Grad, mit wenigen sonnigen Abschnitten und dann höheren Temperaturen. Das Haus verfügt über keine Heizung, dementsprechend war die Temperatur im Inneren bei 16 Grad und über 80% Luftfeuchtigkeit. Die Wohnung war also kalt und klamm, in den Schränken und Kommoden riecht es modrig. Erst auf Nachfrage...

"Pros: We were upgraded to a three bedroom apartment in the same block. The apartment is very spacious with an attractive terrace and fabulous view of Pico island. It is very tastefully furnished with antiques which have been lovingly restored. Dora was very kind and communication with her was excellent. She left us a lovely welcome hamper of local food. "I stayed in this apartment with my family of 4\. The apartment itself was small but ok. Note that the management keeps the remote control for AC and if you need it, they charge a daily fee of 10EUR per day. The communication with the manager has been very difficult since the beginning. "The basic necessities are provided; beds are comfortable and the place is clean. Need to Whatsapp owner to get information to get onto the property because messaging in Portugese otherwise. Property said air conditioning but the air conditioning was broken. It was cool enough though so not a problem. Walkable to the ocean and natural pool and nice restaurant down the street. It is located in Sao Roque which is in the middle of the island so nothing is far away if you are driving. Parking ample...

"The management (owners?) were very pleasant and helpful, as were all staff. The room was spacious and well prepared. The Hotel offered everything we wanted and was convenient for a short walk down to the Harbour at Horta, which was our main place to visit. Overall, extremely pleased with the quality and value the Hotel offered and provided. It is not a 5 star facility but clean, tidy, spacious and ideal for our stay on a budget. We would recommend this hotel."

"The location of this property is spectacular. Just steps to a beautiful little beach and a fantastic view of Pico. The unit is very spacious and the front deck is a great place to hang out with views of the farm fields, Pico mountain and the ocean. Some items in the unit could use some updating such as coffee maker, toaster and pillows. Otherwise it had everything we needed. "
