"Our stay at the Ribeira das Tainhas was nothing short of excellent. From the beginning we had excellent communications with the host, Pierre. During our stay he helped in arranging in house massage, chartering a private boat and searching for a private chef. The house was child friendly, and we made use of the beautiful pool daily. Upon arrival, Pierre, had cheese, bread, fruit and a bottle of wine to welcome us. It was greatly appreciated after a long travel day. We were able to arrange early check in and with toddlers, and this was greatly appreciated. Most major sites to visit are within a 30 minute drive with the longest being an hour away. There are beaches close by and a great boardwalk for running or strolling. The supermarket and ATMs are close by and easily accessible. Pierre ensured that everything we wanted was accessible and as a result we had an unforgettable family vacation for my wife, myself, our children and grandchildren. We will be forever grateful for our time spent in Sao Miguel and choosing this property."

Also no food or drinks available during the day apart from snacks late afternoon. Coffee and tea was provided in the rooms but no milk available. I was reluctantly given some from the kitchen, but told to buy my own in town."
